Good Morning LL,
Sending healing vines to all that need them.
We've started giving Zeke a snack at +8 or +9 as suggested by Julie, Sienne and Marje and it looks like it may be helping bring down his PS#s. Since adding the snack, Zeke's PS#s are looking a lot better than what they had been before; this even in light of the reducie on 3/28 - now down to just 0.25u BID. Currently, I am able to take his reading at 2AM but the pet sitter we have coming in to give Zeke his afternoon snack can not test him. Poor Barbara has been pet sitting for us for easily over 7 years and loves Zeke to death despite the fact that he still hisses at her (that little monster). At least he's finally gotten comfortable enough with her to not hide under the bed when she comes by. So, for those evenings that I have gotten a Snack-time test, his PS number is higher than that at the time of the snack. I was just wondering - is the PS supposed to be lower than his BG right before the snack? Is that really what we're hoping to see? If so, hopefully that will come in time but for now I'm happy that his PS#s are lower (under 120 for 5 cycles and under 100 for the last 2 cycles).
Once the feeder arrives, I will most likely not be getting up at 2am so we won't be getting anymore Snack-time tests. Keeping fingers crossed that the PS will continue to improve so as to indicate that the snack is doing what we were hoping for.
Have a great Furday everyone.
Zeke's 3/31 Condo ** Thanks Wendy and Rachel for your visits that day.
