Haven't posted a condo in a while but have checked in every day to see what y'all are up to. Was amused by Binks the kibble gangsta this morning.
Around 12-13u of Lantus, Leo started seeing more yellow and an occasional blue. At 13.5u, we're starting to venture into the realm of having him regulated. Both of us are liking it. His eyes stay open when he looks at me, and my litter box disposal burden is down by half. Last night he backed Osky down and chased him when Osky was being his usual annoying kitten self.
The acromegaly DX came in on 3/28. Lower threshold is 100; Leo was 493!! Acrocats are considerably higher maintenance than normal diabetics, since they have a working pancreas and can drop like a rock at any time with double digit doses of insulin on board. But he has great quality of life, loves his humans and his fuds and naps. This seems like a good year to stay close to home and work on my house.
