Hi Jax, welcome to the first day on Lantus! Nice easy start so far. Just multiply by 18 should do. Best to put those converted numbers on your subject line too.
There is a US tab on the bottom of Harry's spreadsheet, and it automatically does the conversion for you, so an alternative is to look at what it says.

Hi and welcome to LantusLand! yes, multiply by 18. There is a world version of the SS that does it automatically. here is a link for the Tech post, click on the World Spreadsheet link.
There are lots of great people to help you out here. Have you been posting in Health? If so a link to previous posts will give some background for advisors. Where are you located? It's pretty late at night here but the east coasters should be getting up soon.

You asked how often people post. The majority of people, especially if they are new to using Lantus, will post daily. I've been hanging out here for almost 4 years and I post daily. This Insulin Support Board is the most active on the FDMB website. There is often someone around 24/7 since there are members from all over the world or who work different schedules.
One observation regarding Harry's spreadsheet. Lantus dosing is based on the lowest point in the cycle (aka the "nadir") whereas with Caninsulin, dosing is based on your pre-shot number. What this means is that it's important to get at least one spot check during both the AM and PM cycles. Would it be possible for you to get some tests during the PM cycle? We strongly encourage at least a before bed test every night.

I have agreed with the husband that he will have to do this as it's going to seriously crash my sleep schedule with 2 preschoolers at home, I am in bed by 9 (2100) most nights and that would only be +3 which isn't going to catch his nadir at night. We will move his shot time 30 mins forward to 0600/1800 and hubs can test around 2300 which would be +5. The nadirs in the day should start to give us an indication of what the nadirs at night are likely to be??
I am woken usually at night by my babies (the human ones!! they are 4 and 2) but in all honesty Harry needs me awake and functioning as best I can on broken sleep without me getting up at night to test him too :? :lol:

We all do what we can. I caught your first post because I was up w/ Tess last night because she was very low, but not an every day occurrence. SometimesI I do feel like a zombie.
I will help if you can get your location set in the User control panel<profile tab<edit profile. It gives an at a glance check on where you are to figure out time zones. You can put up a picture of Harry in the edit avatar section. It has to be small 90 x 90 pixels, but we would love to see him! It wll show up on the right side of all your posts.

Welcome to lantus land! Nice to see you over here and on lantus. It will take a few days to build up the depot so don't worry if you don't see low numbers yet. Be good to see his PMPS, and also a PMPS +2 or 3 to see what his overnight plans are.
