Unbelievable how my boy is doing this with his diabetes. Now we know it was that W/D cat food that his vet insisted that he eat. I have learned so much from you wonderful group of people. I continue to read and learn from all of your posts.
I hope that someday I can help someone the way I have been helped.

Freddie thanks you so much!!!! he continues to feel so much better and he is on day 12. This is unbelievable! I am almost over the moon!
 
Whoa!! Way to go team!! FMDB for the win!!

That vet insisted w/d is total garbage!!! That is what Mr. Tyler was on and once I found these lovely people, he went from and average of 4u twice a day down to 2u then down to 1u.

i think vets push it because for a person who won't hometest, it's better to let your cat stay high - and with the number of carbs in the dry food, they'd probably never go hypo.

Congrats on day 12, yvonne! WAHOO!!!! you're almost there!

Here's something you can easily do - shout it wide and far that a cat developing diabetes isn't a death sentence - that some can even heal and go off of insulin if they become tightly regulated right away.
