I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again!
I just can't imagine not being on the go.
It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times. ! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that!

It was the same this past week. It has been a good week.
It has also been a good week in the pool. It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered.

Things continue much as they have in past weeks. Spring break approaches next week, and Nicholas does not ahve school, so.... I'm not too sure how I will work in William's swim time, as he usually swims when Nicholas is in school. I have yet to take them together. Nicholas is so energetic in the pool, a real go-getter, but although he can swim without issues, laps even, I still have to be able to be there in the event of, and supervise what he does, as 6 and unders are not allowed to swim on their own, pool rules. To add a not yet 2 year old into Nicholas's routine would be pure insanity.... so some thinking to do over the weekend on how I can get William some pool time. He may just have to miss a week. Bummer! We did have some kinda exciting pool news. After weeks of Nicholas spending time to watch swim class he has decided that he does want to take lessons. HAPPY DANCE! So I was sucessfully able to enroll him on open enrollment day this past Friday. I was elated that he was able to get in, and that the class he will be in is the one he has currently been watching. That alone should really help him transition into being a swim student. AWESOME!

William continues to do well too. He loves it as much as Nicholas, and is very excited when he realizes it is a pool day for him. He is becoming a big fan. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night were our swim days this week.
On Friday night Nicholas and I continue to do out post swim Burger Feast. It still is just as popular with him as it has been in the past. It is such a positive and fun thing for both of us. I wouldn't stop this tradition for anything, or until he decides it is time.
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM!
Nicholas: Tubin' on the lazy River, Snohomish Aquatic Center
William: Dive Ready!
The boys and I continue to be very busy.
We have had a decent weather week too, sunny skies for most of the days, warm temps, with us hitting the 60/65 mark. Friday was a bit iffy with rains early on, but the afternoon was great. Spring is for sure coming.
We have been on the Mesika Trail by the pool, The Sammamish River Trail at Bothell Landing Park, and also spent alot of time at the Seattle Aquarium. The boys really like the Mesika Trail by the pool. it is a short 1 mile loop, but allows them to hike, visit and play in a seasonal creek, and when in season pick a ton of berries. We always have such a good time when we do this trail. The Sammamish River trail is a but more involved and alot longer, but they do like it there too. We do what we can of it, depending on pleasant distractions and how much of it they want to walk. It is nice in that all of the trail parallels the river. Lots of ducks to visit, urban river banks to visit and spend some time on. There is also a playground area there too with some really nice equipment. We were grateful that the weather was good that afternoon, it really made for some fun times. And then there is the Aquarium... always a good go to place when weather is questionable. Friday was as good as all the other times we go. Nicholas was funny. He got us a map, and made sure we visited everything on the map. Too fun.

The boys were able to stay a little longer here at my house on Wednesday night, as it was time for mom and dad, aka Erin and Jason, to go and bottle the homemade beer there made here locally at Gallagher's in Edmonds. So.... after a normal dinner, we all decided a Chips Raid was in order. Guess my pantry passed.
Nicholas & William: CHIPS RULE!!!
For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one.
The North Cascades Highway reopened this past Friday, so maybe just a drive up there would be good. Trails etc are still snow covered, but at least the highway is open.

Appts kept me from an actual hike this week, but w did make a few treks to the old favorite: Meadowdale, on Sunday, and Tuesday. Both trips to the shore were good ones, enjoyable, and even relaxing, Trail work for me does do that: removes all the fatigue from the weeks events. I was also able to connect with my son Anthony for our every other week breakfast get together. That too has to be one of my fave times. And just for fun: my Jasmine has started to bloom. Such a wodnerful fragrance!
Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille!

The kitties are doing well. Elsa is still into her game, active, and getting out when she wants, 18.5 years and still making her rounds. As I wrote last week, I am still somewhat worried abut her, as she still is as skinny as a rail, despite my attempts to get some weight back on. I know this could be just age, but still... She is not eating as much as I'd like, but that seems to be affecting all of the kitties here. Much less food being consumed by all. Hmmmmm... maybe it's just the seasonal change, as for all other intents and purposes they are well, activities are normal. Bug is being Bug, my stoic affectionate Mannie wannabe kitty. Lola is well.... Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. With the arrival of spring heather she has been in the "LET ME OUT!" mode.

Three escapes last week!
Crazy cat. So.... we are back to thinking about how we can feasibly build something that will let her get out but still confine her to the yard. If only she would stay in her yard..... NOPE! She traveled a couple of blocks last TH until I was able to corral her. Hooray for kitty treats, which she can resist.
Other than that, Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! Maybe that is normal. Crazy cat.
Lola... master escape artist!
Have a great Caturday everyone. I think I shall head on out some for a walk/hike. The outdoors is calling!
KITTIES!! Remember: BLUE, think GREEN

Sorry for no individual photos. seems that option is no longer available??? Scratch that! It seems I found a work-around...
