Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) I need to learn how to do Mannie's 10 hour energy coffees.... so so needed this morning!

I was able to find someone to pass on Mannie's Lantus too. I am relieved. I had just restocked his supply two weeks before he crossed to the Bridge, and had a box with 5 pens. Somehow I just couldn't toss them. I don't know how many of you remember Chris and Chloe (she brought me into the Board here), but she has a friend who has a newly DX'd FD kitty, so this friend will be getting Mannie's supplies: insulin, syringes, lancets. I am happy that Chris knew someone who could really use them. Happy days, a worthy donation! Slowly things are starting to return to normal here, though I still have those moments when I expect to see him coming around the bend.

I went hiking yesterday, just cuz I could. It was difficult to find a place that wasn't windy at 25+ mph, but we did. I went to Bellingham and hiked up to Lily and lizard lakes. It was a good hike, longggggggggggg but good. Trail was well maintained. Muddy, but good. It is also used by horses so we ended up having to dodge hundreds of "horse piles'. FUN! not.... We managed some sun, but even with that it was cold up there. Dang - when I got to Lizard lake there was even a brief snowfall!!  The lakes are small there, but nice nonetheless. I think I ended up doing about 13 miles, if only becasue I messed up, made a wrong turn and had to double back,. That cost me 2.2 miles and an hour. Silly me.... I took tons of photos, so here you are: Lily Lake, Lizard lake: Bellingham, Washington

Have a great day everyone! I am off to have breakfast with my son, and then to Seattle later in he day to have coffee with a friend. YAY! A social day!

I'm so happy that you found someone who can use mannie's supplies .. it is so generous of you to donate them Michelle .. Sounds like your hike went well, even though it was cool and you ended up lost .. When Peter and I were in TN we went to Clingman's Dome, it's only a half mile walk from the parking lot to the observation tower but you go up 300 feet in elevation to near 6600 feet .. may not sound like much to those who live in higher elevation to begin with, but coming from MI, that sure made it hard for us to breathe!!

I hope you enjoy your day out ..

Hi Michelle, beautiful pics of your hike yesterday. Even with the wrong turn, sounds like you gad a nice hike and time and really great pics. Wow, and still some snow this time of yeare! That is great you found someone who can use Mannie's diabetes supplies and someone just starting to care for newly diagnosed kitty makes it special, too.
I wonder where Mannie's recipe is for that "10 Hour Energy Coffee"! Bet he hid it in a place where you may soon find it. :-D Have a great time with your son at breffifs and also coffee with your friend in Seattle. I hope to do the same today if I can get myself in gear and if the Mags allows.
Have a great day, Michelle.

Morning Devon ~O) ~O) ~O) oh me too on Mannie's supplies - more than happy here! Yupp on the hike too, some lost involved as always, but found in the end. :-D :-D I so hear you too on the elevation change - it really does make a difference if you are not used to that. Even I, who does do mtns alot, notice the difference when I am up that high!

HI Lisa ~O) ~O) ~O) That I did - lots of fun, many thanks on the pics!

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, I did have a grand time, despite of having to hunt for the trail head.  I thought so too on Mannie's supplies, and it's local so good there too. Maybe I will be able to help her out some too. oh LOL (!!) I so hope on Mannie's 10 hour energy coffee recipe! one can only hope on finding it.... ;-)  :-D THJX: breffis was so fun (pics on FB) and Seattle is always a good time. Barb and I used to work together. I hope Maggie is behaving so you can go for a coffee with a friend too. Right Mags?

Have a great afternoon Connery. I am off to Seattle. YaHOO!

Great news on the donation of lantus, pens, etc. Mannie would have liked that. Helping out another FD kitty is the best. So you are getting to a "new normal" whatever that is huh. The hike was beautiful and sounds like a lot of fun. 13 miles, wow! That is a long way. Have a great day Michelle!!

Hi Michelle,
Sounds like a great hike and a challenge, too, with the mud and the involuntary detour! I'll look forward to seeing the pictures when I get home. They take forever to load on my iPad.

I'm so glad that you can donate Mannie's insulin and supplies to a newly diabetic kitty. Mannie would approve!

We had a really good day, too. I cycled about 15 miles and walked about 4 miles. Tired tonight!

Enjoy your day with Nicholas tomorrow.

Ella & Rusty (who had a great day with all of Mannie's pals putting up the Mannie was here plaques)

It's so wonderful that you were able to donate Mannie's supplies...Mannie would love to know he's helping out another FD kitty. I need that 10 hour energy coffee recipe, too  !

I'm glad you were able to find someone who really needed Mannie's supplies. It sounds like you had a good hike yesterday. I hope you enjoyed your social day today.

Beautiful pictures again Michelle. Those yellow jelly like things on the log were so cool. Do you know what they are? Brrr on the snow. It was a cold one here today too but it's supposed to warm up as the week goes on.

Sounds like you found the perfect home for Mannie's supplies. I wonder it that new person will be posting here. It's great to find some local support when you have a new sugar kitty.

Good Evening everyone!

Hi melissa - I thinks so too on the pens - i was glad Chris knew someone who really needed them. :-D Yeah ont eh new normal, but I'm not toos ure what that is.  Thanks on the hike it, was long, but really nice too. Sure was tired after that one!

Hi Ella - Great hike, even wit the detour!  I so understand on the iPad, I'd wait too. I think so too on Mannie's approval for the insulin. It seems the way to go too. Whoa - 15 miles on the bike and 4 on foot - AWESOME. and Yes, I know you are tired! That's alot of miles. Be sure and thank Rusty and the gang for the Mannie Plagues - I saw Ann's photo. That was wonderful. :-D :-D Will do with Nicholas tomorrow! :-D

Hi Amy - THX, all was good today - alot of fun! yupp on the hike - it was a long one, but worth the effort. Yes, I could not be happier for the insulin always nice when you can help someone who needs help. I promise if I find his recipe for 10 hour energy coffee I will send it!

Hi Carla - me too on the supplies. I knew there had to be someone on the area who needed them,. If not I was going to go through DCIN, or even here on the Board. THX too: social day was great!

Hi Wendy - THX on the pics. I believe that those orange things are called just that: jelly fungus. They really do look like tiny blobs of jelly. And a very bright orange too. I've seen yellow ones here, and even some red ones once. Weirdest coolest looking things.... i know on the cold on that hike - really cold top side, it was hard to keep the hands warm. It would have been OK if the winds hadn't picked up. I think so too on the supplies. I'm not too sure on the new prosper, I will have to ask Chris if she plans on coming on Board here, at least to get started if nothing else. There is such a wealth of info here...
