Booo...beatdown fail. Beatdown fail. (Note to self: it's a process, Suzanne. It's a process.)

Yucky pink is back, but the R is in full effect. Let's see where it goes. Cobb seems to be feeling well, ready to eat as always!

Sandy, that's amazing about BK! I heard the number wouldn't change either. Interesting to see it does!

Have a great Wednesday!

Interesting turn of events this afternoon. Cobb continues to confuse me. Initially it looked like no reaction to the R, and then a huge drop and he keeps dropping. That makes it hard to see any kind of pattern to establish a R-scale, which I believe is probably going to be ever changing.

Heads Up !

You got it.

Remember, IAA can delay onset as well as prolong duration, for R as well as Lantus.

Dealing with the unknown variables is tough but It does get easier, remember you are still learning how R affects Cobb under various circumstances.
In time you will develop an intuition that will help you safely 'go with the flow', in spite of the difficulty seeing any kind of pattern.

Delay onset because the antibodies bind to the insulin? Prolong duration because the antibodies can release the insulin at I inopportune times? Is that right?

Yup, unpredictable but usually later onset, and later onset can mean later nadirs. On Lantus I noticed Neko's nadirs were from +3 to +13. As Sandy says, you learn to go with the flow. With my PS and either +3 or +4 I could guess which part of the spectrum nadir was likely to fall. I still get the variability on Levemir but even later.

Good job on the beat down today.

Re: 4/29 Cobb AMPS 330(2.5uR) +3 324 +5 196 +8.5 133 PMPS 13

So if the nadirs are a bit unpredictable, do you just have to guess when shooting R? Wendy, I know you don't use R, but theoretically speaking?

Re: 4/29 Cobb AMPS 330(2.5uR) +3 324 +5 196 +8.5 133 PMPS 13

I can still see when a bounce is happening vs. normal curve (rapid acceleration up) and when the PS is higher than you want you could use R. You've been doing great so far, so I'd continue on as you have.

Over time you can see trends in the data to give you an idea when nadir might be. Neko had earlier nadirs when she started lower and had a lower +3 and had later nadirs when she started higher or started lower then went up for +3. I also looked at the previous cycle because it could give hints about what was coming next.

Nice PMPS! :-D

So...my next question...dosecrease or not? You all know my issues with messing with a dose that's giving me promising numbers.

What are your thoughts?

To be honest, in our early days of heavy R use I didn't think about nadirs (damned if I ever could figure it out back then) BK was consistently high and flat and not overly bouncy. I just stuck with PS and +6 when needed (which was always for quite some time)
