Good Morning! Aurora still continues to have great numbers this morning at 6am she is reading at 149. No insulin shot again right? I will try and work on the spreadsheet today.

You are getting closer to a number that you can shoot as normal numbers are 50-120. The question is if she is around 200 or above tonight how closely can you monitor tonight and what that dose will be. I'd get a test 2-3 hours after she eats today if you can and a +11.5. Have a great day.

Was a fructosamine run before insulin was started? Those high curve numbers at the vet's might have been due to stress. Max was a very sweet and gentle giant but became aggressive only when caged. I doubt his office numbers were accurate for BG or bp. Another reason why home testing is important.

I'm glad Aurora continues ....
if you look at Shadow's ss, she did much the same..... She immediately responded to treatment and numbers were better.
The goal is for all the numbers to be under 120. This is why I still say she may need a little support but I think her dose is going to be much less.
We just keep watching her.....

Good morning Nicole! Still looking good here. I agree with Elise and Rhiannon - you're getting closer to needing to give a bit of insulin but you're not quite there yet. Let's see where she goes today. If some is needed, my vote is to drop to a max of 1 unit and plan to test at least 4 times over the first 8 hours of that cycle.

HUGS!!

Just did another reading and it's 109! Daddy gave her treats and more wet food while I went back to bed but I think she seems to be doing well.

YARD DANCE! Yep her pancreas is working....maybe not up to par but it's working!!! That's exactly what should have happened with everything working right. This is WONDERFUL! Oh it just makes me so darn happy my face hurts from grinning!

I feel like snoopy running around ears flopping in the breeze! I bought the bigger pack of test strips at Walmart this afternoon, I'm blowing them that 20 pack like crazy. I am sure disappointed in the vet I don't know how I can trust her if she jacked this up so badly.

Lots of good vets seem to blow it with fd. If yours is good otherwise just know you've found the right support. I wouldn't go back to her for curves or fd advice. I'm hoping the next time you see her it will be to let her know Aurora is OTJ and doing well , anti--jinx.

That would be wonderful! I really like the owner of the clinic and I have worked with her many times before so I can always just switch back to her. I just don't feel I mesh well personality wise with this one. The owner is totally cool with me being hands on but I just feel this current one feels I'm too pushy and maybe infringing on her space. Too many red flags already I think I'll just work with the owner and be done with it but yeah, totally not spending the money on a curve that's for sure! The rice sock makes it so easy to get a good drop of blood the first time, I'm really getting good at this! I promised I'd do the spreadsheet today have to sanitize litter boxes next but I will attempt the spreadsheet later today.

I need help with my spreadsheet - I have it created on my gmail account and I'm going to google drive, opening the document, copying the link, going to signature, clicking the link icon, pasting and it keeps saying my signature is too long
