4/30/13 Rags No AMPS yet

Well, my big boy is just starving all the time. Losing weight, as soon as I do this curve I WILL BE TESTING !! ( Not screaming, just making my point ! Sorry !!! ). I really, really do not like this at all ! Not knowing what his numbers are. Just "trying" to follow Doc's orders, that I just do NOT like. When I get his numbers I figure I'll have something to fight with. And as far as feeding him, I can't take that anymore either. I was trying to do what she said to see if it would stabilize his numbers. I'm learning, but actually I like the way the forum does things. Just don't like the high numbers. I'm trying to be truthful here so you know where I'm coming from.
This big boy NEEDS more than three and a half of those "tiny" cans a day !!!!!

I went to the Doc's today and I've lost seven pounds, sympathy pounds I guess !!! He is getting my meds straightened out with the STUPID ins. Co. Not fast enough though.

My boy is sooo hungry that he is eating his hair. He is grooming himself and his hair is coming out in clumps. I have to keep taking it out of his mouth, my poor baby.

OK just wanted to update. His curve will be done on Thursday, I'll let you all know and put them on his SS.

Marje & Gracie, thank you for the well wishes.

He gets 1 3/4 cans at 7:30 a.m and p.m. that's it !!! How much would be enough for him at his shot times ? I just do not think 3 1/2 cans is enough for him all day. They are those tiny cans. Who says how much he can have for a day ????
I WANT him to be able to eat throughout the day, I just don't know how much to give him and when, HELP !!!!!

Okay, if you want to follow the vet's orders. I wouldn't do it, but it's up to you.
At least you know how to test and have all the testing supplies, should he look funny or out of sorts one day.

I'm glad your doctor is getting your insurance company straightened out, so you get your meds. Please take care of yourself, too

I bet Rags can't wait and you can't wait until after Thursday when you can feed him when he's hungry, again cat_pet_icon

Carl, I know she has other cats on LANTUS that are doing very well. However they went through three different types of insulin and a year to get there.
Remission ? I have no idea, but I WILL find out.

Dyana, you got that right !!!! I just cannot keep doing this to him. It's pathetic to see him like this !!!! He used to be a Big Beautiful Boy, now he looks terrible !!!!
Thank you for your well wishes, it just killed me that I couldn't take care of my an boy !!
Time to feed him, I'll be back.
