Yesterday, mostly blue with a touch of green. :-D

4/3 Recap:

Neko always seems to be in fine form when she starts out the day in the low blues. Lots of dancing and talking to me when I prep the fuds and she wanted out on the deck for a while after first breffs. She spent the time under the bbq shelf just sniffing the air. She's not as comfortable in the yellows now and is currently out in the solarium curled up in her basket. It's drizzly out - no reason to be there, it's just a comfortable bit of fleece.

I am half heartedly contemplating a change in dose. For the most part I'm happy with her numbers, but I would like to see a bit less yellow. DH bought me a brand new pair of calipers today. :cool: For $5 more he got a much better pair with more features. We'll spend some time today seeing if the dose on the old pair of calipers equals that on the new one. They should - and of course DH has to tools to compare them.

I love when kitties do the "Mannie Fuds Dance"...it's just so cute! Nice start for Neko, and with yucky weather, I don't blame her on the nap.

I'm glad Neko is feeling so good. I hope she comes back down to blue later. Good luck with the new calipers.

I'd love to see that dance and chat from Neko on video someday :lol: . Too bad she'd probably take your ear off for making her wait longer for fuds as you recorded :o

It's nice that your DH is so handy, and can find something that will hopefully work even better for dosing for you. I hope Neko is giving you some nice numbers tonight, and keeps it nice and steady so you can catch some zzzz's. Have a good night!

I spent most of the day at a friend's house. She had an operation on Monday and was going stir crazy at home. DH was in charge here - he managed to trap Neko on his lap for a while. :cool:

@Amy, Tara, Carla, Rachel - Thanks for visiting Neko while I was away. We decided to stick to dosing on the old calipers as I still have to compare the too of them. I would love to video Neko and the fuds dance/talking but it would take two as there is no way I could slow down feeding to take the video. :lol:

Hi Wendy. Which calipers do you use? I might get some after reading about how off the insulin syringes can be. I noticed there are two different 4" ones and not sure which to get. Neko is keeping you up I see as Max is keeping me up. Now why can't they do this during the day?

Oh why oh why does that happen when I really need sleep tonight? :roll:

@Elise - My current calipers look like this. The new ones are from Igaging. I think a lot of people use these ones from Harbor Freight. The BD syringes, which is all we can get from Canada, can be out by as much as .3-.5U.
