Yesterday was stratosphere day in MannieLand. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy upppppppppppppp thereeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... :roll: I suppose he could be in some sort of a bounce from the blue/yellows he briefly visited yesterday. I may have to see if it is feasible to nudge the dose up a bit to bring the range down. it would be a heckuva lot easier if I knew fr sure I could get him to eat. SO far we've been lucky, but the fuds interest is starting to wane some. All in all it was a decent day for the Nanner King. We had some bad mobility/muscle weakness mid day for a bit, but the rest of the day he did ok getting around. I hope for a good day today, more blues would be so cool! All is well in MannieLand. Mannie said so! :-D :-D Appy was really a battle yesterday morning. I lost count on the number of cans, and what I mixed together to make sure I got enough in him to give him his shot. By +2 he was done with his fuds, and would not eat any more. I had offered alot with the +1 fuds, so hopefully the calorie intake he needs was there. :roll: ;-) Paws crossed. What a guessing game it all is.... Our weather was so so yesterday, but no rains, so I did take him outside in the afternoon, for some grass and sniff time. One happy kitter! he actually took a bath while laying on the lawn. That was nice to see. The rest of the day was spent pipping, in his bed, or on the nanners. Oncve again he let elsa play with them while he supervised. :lol: Today appy was so so (yet again :roll: ), LB is normal, Ketones tests have been negative. Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D yes, it is normal. Mannie said so.

Have a great day everyone! I am back on DGS duty for the rest of the week. Today will be a swim day for Nicholas. WOO HOO! Back in the pool! Paws crossed on the weather, as I hope we can get some outdoor time too. ..... I hope to visit condos when time permits, it is so tough to do while he is here. I will miss you guys! Hey everybody! I have been thinking.... scary I kn ow! BUT! What do you think: let's go to VEGAS! Can't you see us struttin' our stuff on the Strip? and the all you can eat buffets? YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a good boy Mannie seems to be this morning - getting a bath in the grass, being nice to Elsa - he must be feeling good and mellow today. @-) @-) @-) on the food and all the open cans. I can't believe how much food gets wasted with these darned fussy felines! Grrrr.

Vegas? VEGAS! All those flashing lights might be kinda scary, I have to psych myself up and maybe jack up on some nip to get me through it. But oh the fuds! And Vegas is nice and toasty warm and we can lay out on one of the hotel roof top pool and get some sun. I'm in! Get me at the back window ~Leo

Bless your heart. You are doing a great job of listening to Mannie and then guessing the rest. Can Mannie have bacon with his fuds? Maybe that'd make him nom, nom, nom?

It's Barista!!! MochaMannie.. my neighbors are sooo jealous of my wonderful coffee and frappes. I let them have a sip yesterday. Mannie, Kitteh Barista, those espressos were really needed today. Delicious! Thank you!!

Michelle, there is a "recovery" food that is extra high in calories. I can't remember the name of it, but I think Ann (Tess) knows. It is for kitties who need to eat more and are not eating enough of their normal foods to get in enough calories.
That is one beautiful river trail. It is neat to see the early wildflowers, the heron, the Canada geese, the very early green on some of the trees. I'm glad you got out for a walk.

Here's hoping for a really good day for Mannie: lots of sunshine, not too cold, outdoor time, nanners time, and a nice time with his favorite little bean.

Morning Michelle and Mannie, thanks MochaMannie for the Triple Espressos and 10 Hour Energy coffee, the best ever! Nice Normalcy in Mannie report. Glad he got some outside time in the yard and took a bath, too. :-D Mags and I are sending vines for a good day and good mobility, too. Hope Mannie has some sunbeams, too. Have a great day with DGS and thanks on the pics link. I bet Mannie will be so happy to see his best bud. Hope the weaher is nice for an outside venture.

Mannie, I think Vegas is a great idea. I can weat one of my fancy party dresses, and they have tons of yummy buffets. I'm already waitin at the curb, Mags

I think Ella is referring to IAMS Maximum Calorie Plus 9% carbs, 159 mg phos/100kcal and 55.5 kcal/oz. I think you have to get it from a vet.

Hi Michelle. Wish we could trade open food cans. :roll: Does Elsa eat them? I give them to the civvies, but even they, don't usually like them. Today I gave Tux gravy food, for the Miralax, and let Checks get it. :o

I hope you have decent weather, so Nicholas can enjoy the outdoors.

Ooooh Vegas! I googled it and it sounds like lots of fun, sun, warm, fuds, and shows! I so wanna go to the show with the lions and tigers! And I want to go to Barry Manilow! I hear he has the bestest show ever. My bean LUVS his music and thinks he's da bomb! I like him too - swoon! even if he prefers goggies over kittehs......I am so excited - and ready for fun, sun, fun, sun fun fun fun. Wagon is locked and loaded.

My bean says thank you for the yummy tea today - she said wednesday is yummy tea day - silly bean.

Nicholas and I have just returned from the pool. WOOT! THE FISH had a blast, even with it being as crowded as it was. Lots of tosses and dives and jump-ins today. OW! That little boy sure does love the pool. We even have some sun, so after his nap we hope to get out some too.

Hi Lisa - He was a god boy - best behavior,. It was nice to see him preen while outside: just goes to show how happy he is when he is outdoors. I know on Ella - mellow is the key for his sharing. :lol: SO agreed on the cans of fuds.... oh well, guess so many beans go through the same thing.

Hi Josie - It was a OK day yesterday, today he seems to be holding is own too. We are headed down so I really hope he can make yellow, and maybe blues. Paws crossed.

Hi Mary - THX. The key here truly is listening too the kitty - this is his dance, and I so hope I can read what he is telling me. I have thought of adding the bacon - maybe if nothing else works. Somedays he eats well, others it just a trial and error to find one that appeals.

HI Ann - It has been kinds normal for Mannie. He's doing OK considering all. gets around though slowly. I loved the bath outside - it has been a few since I've seen him do that. so so nice! THX on all those vines. We may get lucky and have some sun when I get home later today so he can get in some more sunbeams. THX too on DGS and Mannie - they did say hello, and Nicholas helped me with one of Mannie's breffis's . :cool:

That's great Mannie was so content when he was outside yesterday he took a bath. I hope you can get out after DGS' nap. Those pictures are great. That looks like a wonderful place to take a walk.

Michelle, I gave Cleo Hills A/D when she wasn't eating. It is high in calories and if you have to syringe feed any food, it is the easiest to put in a syringe. It might be high in carbs, though. You have to get the prescription from vet but can buy it at Petsmart.

I hope Mannie got/gets out again today. The rains seem to have help off for a bit. :-D

Another easy to syringe vet food is Royal Canin Recovery RS. I fostered a cat with hepatic lipidosis and found it even easier than A/D. It's 7% carbs according to Dr. Lisa's chart.

444 @ PMPS. can I get excited that he isn't on"that floor?" ;-) He ate fairly well at dinner time. He seems to really like the Royal Canin Renal food, so why not feed it I guess. I had some cans left over from when Elsa was briefly on it. If he'll eat it, bring it on. :-D I took him outside after dinner, as the weather was decent, and kinda warm at 60. He walked the perimeter though it really took him a while to do it. Another brief bath was had on the grass, after which he went and laid in the flower beds, where he promptly picked up all sorts of things in his belly fur. He was not happy with me when I cleaned him up and then told him he needed to come inside. Poor kitty! If he had his way he'd stay out there til the sun set.... :-D :cool:

Hi Carla - Oh yes on being outside yesterday - he was so happy. it was a repeat performance when I took him out tonight too. :-D THX on the pics - and yes, it really is a great walk! All totaled I think it runs about 25 miles, with branch offs that are about as long. It is a great river walk!

Hi Amy - I know - as silly as it may be I was happy to see that red. I so hope he can have a god cycle like last night. He made yellow with that one, so hoe we see it again.

Hi Georgia - I so agree - those HI's are just way to much. THX on the Hill's A/D - I will look into that when I go ina couple of days. I remember feeding that to my last kitty that I lost to CRF. Too funny - but I remember how "soupy" it was. THANKS for the suggestion.

HI Wendy - I'd like that - a slow slide down! :-D Yes on Mannie - he did get out. We've had semi-decent day her weather-wise. warm at 60, and no rains. YAY! oh wow on the RC Recovery fuds. I will ask abut that too. anything for good calories. poor boy sure needs them.
