I'm starting to feel really confident we've found the right dose!! He sits higher in the AM cycle then usually drops to the 60s (sometimes lower) in the PM cycle pretty quickly. It's becoming very predictable! He's actually handling us cutting back on food well and no furshots.

I'm doing about half a can of FF pate, then a +3, +5, sometimes +9 snack depending on how he's acting (1/4 of a can or smaller) and trying to get him to where he has about 2 to 2 1/2 cans a day to trim down a little, but I'm not gonna withhold if he's starving and crying. He's been having 2 1/2 to 3 cans a day before.

We're getting ready to move and I hope the sudden environmental change doesn't upset him though!

You might want to add a snack at +2 and see if that reduces the diving. Maybe move the +3 and +5 to +2 and +4 respectively?

Nice DP!

That's usually the PM schedule for the PM snackies but I can set the am cycle to the same +2 and +4! There's usually no diving during the AM cycle so I haven't been too worried about it, when the dose was 1.75 I was doing that then checking at +5.5 on my break and giving extra food if needed (he was usually good). For consistency sake I may as well set it the same :)

I think I've commented on a thread of yours before, but I love lurking on Lando's SS LOL because him and my Buster were diagnosed right around the same time, and also both seem to be getting regulated at the same time too!! Love to see it, great job!! <3

Were you always on Lantus from the beginning? I think we were held back for awhile by Vetsulin, but we were struggling financially and since the vet had it directly on hand she didn't want him to go longer without insulin. I feel like if we could have started Lantus sooner it may have sped up that process! Buster and Lando's spreadsheets look pretty darn close!
