Hi LL!

I shaved a bit off his dose last night to try to stabilize him faster, and that seems to have helped the bounce/slow it down somewhat. He has been dropping to the 50s at night, and then bouncing to yellows and upper blues in the morning. The +2 I just got is thrilling! :-D He may even reach the lagoon today. Unfortunately, I won't be here to see if he does, but DH might be able to check in on him. K is feeling wonderful today, very cuddly, purry, and playful.

Yay! My plan worked! Shaving a bit off the dose last night prevented him from dipping too low and causing a horrible bounce :mrgreen: Hopefully he will settle into this dose (skinny .5) and will start regulating now :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yep. Looks like a pretty geen day for Kizzy. I wonder what the evening will bring. So glad to hear he is all happy, cuddly and purry.

Hope you are doing well. At least we have finished hump day and on the slide into the weekend.

So, I went out for a drink with friends after class and DH was on TSF duty. Kismet surprised him with a 43 at normal PMPS time. DH panicked, fed 1/2 tsp of HC mixed with his usual 1.1 oz of LC dinner and did not shoot. He called me afterwards, so I raced home, tested and got 215!!! I shot his normal skinny .5u 1/2 hour late. I have no idea of that number is food influenced or what, but to jump over 150 points in 30 minutes is staggering. UGH UGH UGH I'm so mad at DH! I've left written instructions for him about what to do if he ever gets a low number at PS time, but I guess he freaked out and though K was going hypo.

Well drat! Only 1/2 hour late though, that is good! I have to admit that I can sympathize with DH being in a bit of a panic over that 43...

I think it's a bounce starting. I don't think that little bit of HC would take him up that high although it probably added to it.

Either that or Relion Prime?

In my *prime* experience the 43 is likely correct, the 215 might need double checking?

Next test may tell.

I think Marje is right, what we're seeing is a bounce (and maybe a little bit of HC influence.)

Poor DH, he panicked and did what he thought was best. I didn't lose my temper with him or anything like that, and applauded him for doing what he thought was best, but reiterated the importance of no food when stalling.

I'm wondering if the 43 he got was a wonky test? :? Very strange. That means that he would have rocketed 177 points in 30 minutes. Kiz hasn't had a low PS like that since he was first on insulin. He was on the juice for 2 weeks before going into remission, all it took was a change in food. Maybe Mr. P is finally starting to sputter back to life a bit? Paws crossed!

I hope he clears this bounce soon :roll: We were finally starting to see some progress today, but like Marje said, we will get back on track! On the bright side, I think I can grab the +3 and call it a night.

I'd definitely get some sleep. After all, Scarlett....tomorrow is another day.

I love your optimism ;-) You have a way of putting things into perspective. Just a little frustrated tonight, I feel like we were finally making progress. That, and I'd just ordered a glass of wine when I got DH's call. I was really looking forward to that glass of wine... :lol:

You have had a little excitement tonight! I totally get it! I feel the same way!
I have rushed home leaving my friends - many times! I love how dedicated you are to Kismet!

I will pray the bounce is short lived!
