Morning, what are your thoughts on FF Savory Centers? Supposedly 1.71%carbs

Ok, thanksI think you actually need slightly higher carbs to keep him on the drop dose long enough to bring those blues to green.
This is what I was basing my question on. I did not realize you went by dry matter basis so this is probably too high. Figures. He really likes it. Thank you so much.I found this on the Chewy site about the FF Savory Centers , don't know if it's correct, but we actually go by dry matter for the carbs , so take a look
Someone had asked them
Can you tell me the carbohydrate percentage?

Chicken & Gourmet Gravy Center has a Carbohydrate content of 1.71% on an as fed basis (7.88% on a dry matter basis). Beef & Gourmet Gravy Center has a Carbohydrate content of 1.71% on an as fed basis (7.84% on a dry matter basis). Salmon & Gourmet Gravy Center has a Carbohydrate content of 1.73% on an as fed basis (7.88% on a dry matter basis). Tuna & Gourmet Gravy Center has a Carbohydrate content of 1.85% on an as fed basis (8.53% on a dry matter basis)

You can give it to him when you give insulin and an hour later. Let’s see how he does with thatThis is what I was basing my question on. I did not realize you went by dry matter basis so this is probably too high. Figures. He really likes it. Thank you so much.![]()

Ok got 96 reading after eating the ff savory centers. This was preceded by the 91reading at 7:00 p.m. Do you think I should back off on the savory centers or not?@Kris and Owen
@Kyle & Simon (GA)
I probably wouldn't figure this out myself if I had to enter what they ask you to enter lol
You might be good at this Kyle if we ever need to figure something out unless we find it .
I have also e mailed the companies and have asked them to give me the dry matter carbs
I was told this by one of our members when I asked
This was an example
5.5% on a dry matter basis is also low carb. carbs 1.8% would be on what is known as "as fed basis" - that is including the moisture content. the carb% on a dry matter basis is the actual carb% (with the moisture not considered).
I searched on our site some more and a member was trying to calculate carbs
Here is what she said and then another member explained and figured out the dry matter using this calculater which tells you what to enter from the label in the cans
This is what the member had entered
Moisture 82%
Protein 8.0%
Fat 4.5%
Ash 2%
Fibre 0.5%
I get 3% carb...... I don't get it?!
Then one of our members replied
It's 3% carbs on an "as fed" basis but it's 17% carbs on a dry matter basis. so it is HC.

Yikes! I am so tired and so stressed I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m sorry to be so confusing. I think I have fixed it. Thank you for your patience, Elise@Kris and Owen
Kris can you update your spreadsheet and title
You said 91 reading at 7:00 P.M. Try not to use times , use @+ then when ever it was such as +2 or +3
You have 88 for Owens PMPS ,but in your title you have 88 for +2 and 96 for +2
I'm confused where is your PMPS in your title and any tests after that?
Also it's good to write how many carbs you fed and when in the remarks section on the spreadsheet
Once you update everything you can tag @tiffmaxee
Hi Kris, it's Diane not EliseYikes! I am so tired and so stressed I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m sorry to be so confusing. I think I have fixed it. Thank you for your patience, Elise
No need to say you're sorry at all, being tired and stressed can make anyone not know what they are doing. Everything looks good now.
When was the 91 BG taken @ what? I'm wss just trying to figure out when you fed the FF Savory Selects , was it when you did his PMPS and gave insulin or @+1?Ok got 96 reading after eating the ff savory centers.
