Lucky got his new dose of 1.25 wow that is hard to draw, having not to good of eye
site these days getting between those lines is tough. these syringes don't twist so
getting a few drops out dies not work, cant wait to get to whole number again.
running to fill script must feel better.

Re: 4/29 Lucky AMPS 413 New dose given

Perhaps you could get some 1/2 unit marking syringes and save the other syringes for doses closer to the whole unit markings....

What are you using now?

I have some Kroger brand Ultra comfort 8mm short needle 31 gauge insulin syringes with 1/2 unit markings to give away.
I switched to Terumo's because I wanted more accurate syringes.
I just haven't gotten around to sending them to fdin ....

Re: 4/29 Lucky AMPS 413 293+5 have 8mm 31 gauge

I think that's the same ones I have there 3/10ml. They have the 1/2 units but reducing to the .25 is hard to get in between the 2 lines,If they would twist to count out the drops it would be easier but these just spin you have to push really hard even bringing them in and out doesn't help. what are the syringes you are talking about? I have ReliOn ones. I hope I get the right amount every time when changing to the 1.25 the 1.50 was easy. thanks Linda

If you have 1/2 unit syringes then you have what the rest of us have. You just have to learn to draw the same dose and be as consistent as you can
each draw.
often what one of us calls 0.75 isn't exactly the same to another person but whatever mark you pick on the syringe.... just try to keep recreating that
same dose.
You can only do the best you can do.

calipers help in that the marking on the syringes are not consistent. So by using calipers you sometimes wind up on a different spot on the syringe marking
which shows how inconsistent the syringes are.

keep hearing about calipers is that the same thing as I think? measuring calipers?
Shadow is adorable, I have a Tuxie named Taz he has ADHD. MOL always in trouble wants me to chase him around,
he has learned hoe to open the doors from watching Lucky so he goes in the pantry and throws the cans of food on the floor and sometimes pulls out the pasta and it goes to. such a brat he does things that could make you roll on the floor laughing. If I could understand how to do these profile thing I would post all there pictures, some day when more time.<3

Here's some info on calipers - I use them and I really like them. They really help for those in between doses. I got mine from Harbor Freight
