Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13152

Morning, LL.

I am so utterly confused. Happy, to be sure, but utterly, completely confused at his AMPS. To make my confusion worse, apparently I left a nearly full box of cinnamon sugar mini donuts out...as I found the (now depleted although not quite empty) box open in the living room. No idea who in the herd snacked on donuts, but I expected a hugely high number this morning.

So I'm baffled. I did puff his dose to f2 the other day, and maybe that's what's done it. But knowing his penchant for sweets, I wonder at the number because of the donuts.

Well, we'll enjoy this as we can...I'll leave lots of food out, and maybe he won't get too low. Shooting a f2 at this AMPS is kinda scary...

Best-
Michele

It must be the cinnamon!!! Human diabetics are said to be helped to lower their bg by eating cinnamon. This could be the start of something big! Go Eeyore!!!

Re: 4/29 Eeyore AMPS=166

 about the donuts! My (GA) Potter used to be a carb-fiend. We couldn't leave bread, muffins, donuts, etc. out because he'd find a way to get into them, chewing through the bag if need be. I actually bought a glass cake topper (you know, like they use in old-fashioned diners to cover the donuts/pie/muffins out on the counter) because of it, tho I've not had much need of it since he passed. I remember the first time I found muffin bits all over the kitchen floor--it was before we had the drooler and I was just so shocked that a cat would do that! Anyway, looks like a great start for Eeyore today! :-D

Re: 4/29 Eeyore AMPS=166

It doesn't look like Eeyore is the donut thief! Gabby actually dislikes the smell of cinnamon so maybe the spiciness kept Eeyore at bay. Maybe he did need more, not less, insulin.

I think Esse ate the donuts...she's high. I don't think Eeyore ate the donuts, but he is a carb fiend. Will literally attack my hand for a chip or a piece of pita bread. But I like today's curve much, much more than what he's been doing...hopefully, he'll repeat the pattern.

I failed a class in RN school. The same class that had the incredibly dificult exams (80% failing one test, 25/74 failing the entire class). So that means I don't graduate in May, but December, instead. Which may not sound like a lot to you, but to me, it's like the end of the world. I am so very depressed.

haha.. he heard me call him (actually I was talking about his liver) a "slow learner". I bet it pissed him off and he thought .. I'll show you.
Go Eeyore.. show me your not a slow learner. Great numbers today.

Sorry to hear about your class, I know its hard. Hang in there, you will get there.

Oh Michelle...I am so sorry. ((((Hugs)))) That is quite a set back for you. Sending positive thoughts your way that you will rise above it all. Dust yourself off and do your best! It's not over, but rather just delayed a bit. In the big picture, it will be okay although you can't really see that right now..... :YMHUG:

Michelle, that sucks about your class. I am sorry that it is putting you back all those months. Just try to keep your eye on the end prize though - you will still be an RN - and the one class does not define how good of an RN you will be. We see your compassion and your commitment here on FDMB - you'll be great!
