Here I am, I'm late again..
So sorry. Very full day.
Cinco, with an amazing lack of timing, decided this would be a good morning to go looking for mermaids. I guess I neglected to mention to him that I would be gone all day.
DH woke me up at 6:30 am
to tell me that Cinco was at 102, and what did I want him to do? At first, I said, "well, give him his normal dose". Then I remembered, through the haze of sleep, that I'd be gone from about +4 till at least +9. I told him to do a BCS of 1.0, which he did. Cinco's +2.25 told me I might be in trouble, and his +3 made it clear. I felt I had two options: cancel Minka's acupuncture appointment, or take him with me. I didn't want to cancel, as the vet had already rescheduled the appointment once to accommodate me and was coming from the other side of Sacramento. However, if I took him along, he would be a major distraction, informing everyone within earshot of his displeasure. I only fed him the same LC as he got at +2.25, and at +4 he was up slightly, so I decided to leave him home. I loaded Otto with 8% and set it to turn every hour for the next three hours, said a prayer, and left him.
Luckily, he survived. We went back to his current dose at PMPS. Now we'll see if he really wants a reduction.
Minka was looking, and apparently feeling, better this morning. When DH got up to t/f/s Cinco, she followed him downstairs and indicated she wanted fuds, so he gave her some and she ate it!
Breakfast this morning was a new flavor - Dave's Salmon Pate (which I still haven't figured out the numbers for), and she LOVED it! CPC!

Cinco liked it, too, but Harvey and Sasha wanted nothing to do with it.
Neither of our "regular" vets were available when we were at the office today, but the acupuncture vet, Dr. Kress, checked Minka over and said that she didn't feel like she was full of poo, so she didn't think it was constipation. She thought it was more likely to have been gas. Minka did not react when her abdomen was palpated, and was laying in a comfortable-looking position when we started her treatment. Dr. Kress thought the SEB probably helped, and that it was a good idea to continue to give it to her.
Minka didn't like the first entree I offered tonight, but then I gave her the Dave's Salmon Pate and she cleaned her plate.
When I went up after dinner to check on Sasha, I found that someone had thrown up. I can't be sure if it was Minka or Sasha. The location pointed toward Sasha, but the content made it look more likely that it was Minka. Neither was acting nauseated, and both ate afterward. I have no clue.
I am convinced that summer appies are kicking in, because Cinco and Harvey and Sasha are not cleaning their plates completely like they normally do, even when it's something they usually like. It was in the upper 80s today and we may hit 90 tomorrow or Friday (blech!). This is not something I really need to have added into the mix.
Tomorrow's agenda includes getting meds, fuds and instructions ready for the weekend of boarding ahead. Stress level is increasing.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.
