Thank you again for your direction everyone. (Especially @Wendy&Neko.) I have a vet who has done the blood tests today and they will be sent off to Michigan State University on Monday morning. I feel blessed to have your direction and insight with the insulin resistance and high dose kitty.

Chino's labs were drawn and sent on 2/06 but I didn't get the IGF-1 result until 2/18. I hope you don't have to wait that long. It can be a suspenseful time but you're getting closer to an answer every day, and there's a lot of great knowledge in these forums that will help you figure out where to go from here when you get the results. :bighug:

Paws crossed for the answers. If the blood gets to MSU early in the week I think you can get results the end of that week, but they only run the tests once a week. I timed it wrong and had to wait the extra week too.

I think you can increase her at your convience.

It was really nice to go into the vet's office with a plan. This is the first time that they have ever done this test and send it to MSU. We saw a different vet in the office and my husband and I both liked her and feel confident that she will work with us. I am going to increase her to 7 units in the morning...numbers are still high tonight...ugh. Thank you again.
