WCR: Some Ps in place. She's not feeling well this morning. I'm not sure what's up, but she's not her chipper self and her appy is very slow. Actually, it may have something to do with our weather today...raining and gross. My chiropractor reminds me that the weather affects our joints, aches, pains & sinuses. <sigh> I wish it didn't affect my little furry girl. :( Otherwise, her numbers are ok. I added some 14% Friskies Turkey Dinner in Gravy to her breffis because she wouldn't even lick at her breffis. She's finished about half, so far. Hoping she leaves me a nice poop prezzie in the LB while I'm at work.

OT: Conference with Principal, parent & upset student went exactly as I expected. They denied that it had anything to do with her not getting a solo and yet every time the conversation circled back around...it came down to student not getting a solo. :banghead: Whatever. I just know that if it were me, my parents would have said to get over it, put on a happy face and do my job which is to be a student. But that was a different day and time and a different style of parenting...a dying art, if you ask me. :( Onward and upward. Off to eat my blueberry muffins for breffis.

Happy Tuesday. Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Hi Deborah,
I hope Shasta will be feeling better as the day goes on. I hear you on the rainy, awful weather. We've had nothing but cold (30s and low 40s), damp, rainy weather for over a week. It affects us all!

Interesting about your student/parents story. This fits in with the whole picture of contemporary education. So many college students are not satisfied unless they get A s, and they complain to the professors about every little thing (all they think about are their resumés). And in high school or elementary school, the parents get involved. It's a sad story. Hang in there! Stand your ground! Just tell them that she didn't get the solo because someone else sang it better than she did. It's a good lesson in life!

Have a good day. Hope you get some sunshine soon!

Morning Deborah :coffee::coffee::coffee:
I too hope Shasta feels better as the day goes along. I know the weather does affect our older kitties. I see it with my Elsa too.

I so agree with you on your student, and the manner of parenting these days. Parents are onto coddling their children these days, even through HS and College. Not the way is used to be, sadly... I agree with what Ella writes too. So many of our youth simply are not independent thinkers, or can truly function and think for themselves, due to way too much parental intervention. Hang in there, you know you are in the right.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.
