Good morning everyone!
We have a little bit of excitement planned for today. We are going to visit some friends that live about an hour away, and Orange is coming with us! Its his first traveling experiment!
He has been at their house before, a few years ago when they were pet sitting for us, but this will be the first time we try taking him out with us since his diagnosis. Lets see how he does. I know he doesn't really like to travel, but he doesn't tend to freak out - he just usually looks kinda scared. His BG doesn't spike when we are at the vets though, so I'm hoping for the best!
Yvette will be coming with us too. She was walking a little better this morning - much better on that front leg, but it seems like she's having some issues with a back leg now too. Not sure if thats from the extra weight/stress she's been putting on her other legs to make up for limping on her front, or if she has something going on that is hurting all her joints. Overall though, shes definitely improved from where she was at the beginning of the week. Next vet appointment is on Monday.
That leaves Charlie the entire house to herself. I think she'll enjoy it. Even though they are from the same litter her and Orange have never been inseperable (they do like each other, just not all the time), and I know she'll be happy to get rid of the dog for a day! (those 2 just ignore each other anyway). Now Miss Charlie, no parties while we're gone! (and you think I'm kidding, but that actually happened once. I came home and the door was nudged open and there was an extra random cat in the house hanging out with them).
Wish me luck!
