happy caturday!
my deck has exploded with birds! yesterday i saw at least 4 different varieties of hummingbirds, tons of american goldfinch and sparrows, and the Big Event: the return of the Evening Grosbeaks. they only stay a couple of weeks, but i love it when they are here. there must've been a dozen of them on the deck all at once to say "we're back!" everytime i pointed the camera they all took off, so this is the best pic i could get

Piglet turned 9 months old on Thursday 
and Piglet has a new baby brother, just 18 days old here:
no, he's not mine - it was a repeat Piglet breeding and there was just one baby.
Those little faces can warm the saddest heart, so I wanted to share...

heehee, i'm with cathy - i'd have probably tried to smuggle the little guy out in my pocket! piglet looks fabulous, of course! what a happy boy. can't believe it's been 9 months already!

Piglet is adorable, and yes, I want that little sweet ball of fur too.
Julie I love birds and that one was beautiful. I'll have to put some of my bird pics from central Jersey. So funny just today, we were looking at an assisted living, and no, not for me, but I feel like it should be. My DML, I think, made it through the whole place better then I did. But anyway, back to birds, just today we saw this very pretty medium size bird, with shinny blue sides, and black head. We never saw one of those around here. I have books to look it up, and I'll try and find it.

Gracie is a straight-ear Fold.
But my Donovan had folded ears. I had to lift his ear up to test him, and used a rolled up baby sock to do that. It gave me something to poke against, and then I'd just fold it over to put pressure on his ear and absorb leftover blood.
