I think 2 units is a VERY good idea!

We just don't like it at all when vets jump the dose in whole units..... that's a lot of insulin for a small creature.

A lot of us do that. I use the device because it helps me get a grip, but don't use the trigger part.

Glad you didnt shoot tonight! Auroras on a mission and is still coming down. As the others said, dont be surprised if she is high tomorrow.

Yep I'm in complete agreement with everyone in backing it down to 2 units until I can supply some steady numbers for all of next week! Aurora cleaned her plate and is settled in for the night. Off to bed goes momma. Nite!

Nicole, I agree about shooting less insulin in the morning. If in doubt and you don't get any answers from your post, it's better to skip again - better a day too high than a minute too low!

I thought I saw you were from Chicago. If you like your vet, ignore the following. Relatively recently, I moved from Chicago to Columbus, OH. The vets I used in Chicago were wonderful -- Cat Hospital of Chicago -- and I used Dr. Czerwonky. They are (obviously) a cat only practice and stay current in the field. They understand about tight regulation and will not force products down your throat.
