I don't know if Dimitri's SS is up to date but when you get that 47, you will want to be feeding a small amount of HC and re-testing every 30 min. and then repeating the process until you get at least 2 tests where the numbers are above 50. See this post on Handling Low Numbers.

I fed him some HC and then retested about 45 minutes later. I will retest again in about 30 min. since I got the 71.

Just got a 60, so I fed him and will retest shortly.

A Question: Is it *possible*, just maybe, that Dimitri had Transient Diabetes only, from his UTI that the vet diagnosed the same day he diagnosed him with diabetes? It just seems like the last week or so Dimitri really doesn't want/need the insulin. So I was just wondering.
