LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: IF YOU WILL KINDLY DIRECT YOUR ATTENTION TO THE TOP OF THE CLIFF OVERLOOKING OUR FAIR CITY, YOU WILL SEE CINCO, THE INCREDIBLE CLIFF-DIVING CAT! POISED TO MAKE HIS FIRST DIVE OF THE WEEK AFTER A WELL DESERVED THREE DAY BREAK. HE WILL PUSH OFF FROM THE CLIFF SOMEWHERE AROUND 3 HOURS AFTER HIS BREAKFAST AND LAND PERILOUSLY CLOSE TO, BUT NOT TOUCHING, THE ROCKS BELOW! AND THERE HE GOES!!!

Okay, I asked for green and I got it! I should have known, when Cinco woke me at 6:45 this morning, shortly after his shot, hollering at the top of his lungs, that I was in for a ride today. Good thing I had no plans for the day....dive away, Cinco. Mama will catch you!

Great appy this morning, but I'm being conservative in how much I give him, since I don't know how many times I'll have to feed him. He thinks I'm being really stingy with the food and hangs over his empty plate hopefully for five minutes, then walks away in disgust and takes his aggression out on the scratching mat. :evil: He just expressed his displeasure vocally and hopped up on the sofa, where he is now curled up and drifting off to sleep. I'll be waking him again soon. :mrgreen:

Last can of BFF was met with the full gamut from enthusiasm by Cinco (which may have been the low BG talking) to utmost disdain by Minka. I gave her some FF and assured her it was the last time I'd try that on her! I think I'm forgiven, as she cleaned the plate and even downed her thyroid pill without my having to shove it down her throat! :-D Harvey ate his first serving, but has been picking at his second, hoping he'd get some FF, too. No sale buddy. I think the only thing I have left that they may not like is one can of Felidae. I'll wait till tomorrow to try that, and give them fuds I know they like in the meantime.

I'm off to visit more condos before I have to check Cinco again. Dare I say it: the Board is much better today! :RAHCAT (anti-jinx)

Sending healing vines to all in need, especially Trixie and Lucy, and hugs to their beans. :YMHUG:

Looks like he's coming back up. Will test again at +5 and then probably leave him alone for an hour or so.

He got the bandage off his leg this morning. There's just one tiny little red spot left, near the edge of where he bandage was, so he was probably irritating it while trying to get the darned thing off. I'm just going to watch it today and see if we can leave it off. Paws crossed!

Looks like he's surfing....nice job after that dive, Cinco! And leave your leg alone so you don't need a bandage anymore, little guy!!

Ah, trying to find acceptable foods...one of the bains of my existence........

Hi Tricia! I'm going to attempt to post to you, I've lost some that I've tried the past week or so :? . I'm glad that Cinco is hanging in the lagoon for you, hopefully on a surf! It's good that his mama will catch him when he dives :-D :mrgreen: :-D

It must be such a challenge to feed all your kitties and match fuds to needs, to picky ones ;-) I hope Cinco has forgiven your stinginess on fuds ( :lol: ) and is giving you some love again soon. Have a great Monday!

Hi Amy and Rachel.

I know you two can relate to the food balancing act!

Cinco is coming up nicely, with just very LC fuds, too (2%). I will do one more test at +6 and if he's still above 70 he can have another snack. He didn't growl at me when I tested him without a food reward, but he did not want me to touch his leg - he's always hated having the back legs touched. I'll have a peak at it later this afternoon, just to be sure he's being good.

Nice greens for Cinco today. :mrgreen: I hope his legs heals soon so he won't need the bandage.

Yes, Liz, he did an amazing job of holding his position once he got there - I stopped testing at +7 because he was at 92, but he took his sweet time getting there.



Alas, the bandage is back on, as he just couldn't leave that "one little spot" alone! :roll: He's so funny - he shakes his back leg when he walks, like most cats do when there is something stuck to their foot. I'm sure he'll get this one off, too, eventually, but I'll keep an eye on it and replace it each time so he can't re-irritate that spot.

Looking forward to seeing what Cinco has in store for us tonight! :mrgreen:

Looks like Cinco may have been taking lessons on cliff diving from China!! Of course she's got him beat tonight....from 210 to 70 at +3.5

You and Rachel nailed it!

Very nice cycle today Cinco, but you're hanging around the wrong friends...they're teaching you bad habits! :lol:
 
You ARE lucky that Cinco dives during the day. I don't know about you but PJ parties aren't fun when you are tired. Might be better if I didn't live alone. I hope I didn't jinx you and that there is no diving tonight!
