Morning
Today is Shadow's 12 th birthday. I am blessed. I hope we have quite a few more years together. (preferably otj) Today is also her 178 day OTJ .
Shadow and I laid in bed for a while this morning while she had her chin on my chin.... purring away. ( my digitial recorder should come any day now so I can try to capture some purr
sounds and her other little vocalizations.
For the most part she is still doing well. I spoke with the vet yesterday about the Adequan shots. We were supposed to go to every 2 weeks after getting them weekly for a month (every
tuesday) but on wednesday I thought she was in pain again....
I do notice that they help her on the day she gets them.... she sleeps deeper a few hours after the shot. Truly they should not be wearing off after a week, it's supposed to accumulate
over time but how do you judge how bad the pain is?
So for now, she can have one once a week but we'll keep an eye on her urine. Apparently if you get into the too frequent range it can cause blood in the urine.
I see her output every day since we have a little reservoir that I have to empty daily.
I'm also having to test more frequently as she is keeping her numbers right on the edge of otj numbers....
:?
she did good on 4/25.... her numbers dropped 4 hours after eating.....
But ....... yesterday she failed. her numbers stayed flat.
I am supposed to run tests for a few more days and see if she drops after eating as she should or if she fails more.
After yesterday, i am nailbite_smile .
That was definitely Not Good. And if we are losing remission....than her number of days OTJ would be adjusted down to 176 , subtracting yesterday and today.
I'm hoping for better results today. I didn't get to test early this morning. I only have one ear that works and I rolled over and heard her eating her overnight food at 5 am.
Lately she has been pretty much ignoring the food left out for in the night. I will test as soon as she has 4 hours after her last eats.
I have a pen in the fridge in case we have to re-start some insulin. :YMSIGH:
And OT:
my dd is clear now of all her stomach issues.
my dh is having all the tests run now after his hospital stay... they also found a cyst on his liver and he will have an mri next week to explore that.
And I will be having my nose surgery in 10 more days ( May 7) ... rotorooter surgery.... making the passageway where air can get thru.
