Good Morning, Everyone,

We woke up to 34 degrees F. and snow/sleet pouring down (it has since changed over to rain). This is the winter that doesn't want to let go! Rusty had a good night and this morning is snuggled in a corner of the couch. We had a schmooze and he didn't want to leave the warm blanket. His bg was 81 when we went to bed last night, so this morning might be a little bounce. Of his bedtime food he ate only the portion of Canidae, not the FF or the Wellness (I put them all in the same dish, but do not mix them together). He clearly likes this food, but I think it spikes his bgs. I'm going to write to the company today to ask for the typical nutrient analysis (and also to ask them why there are peas in it, when peas are not listed as one of the ingredients).

Not much planned for today. I had hoped to get out on my bike for a little spin, but unless the weather improves soon, I won't be doing that. Edward is baking bread. Tomorrow afternoon we will be doing a short paddle--the first paddle of the season. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 50 and there is supposed to be sunshine. We'll see!

Wishing you all a good day and continuing to send healing vines to all kitties and beans who need some. Still no word on the condition of our friend, Jean. Vines are much appreciated, and thank you so much for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

If I saw snow today...OMG....I don't know what I would do.......I don't blame Rusty for not wanting to leave his warm blanket!

Enjoy some R&R today...sounds like a good day for snuggling with Rusty. I hope that weather clears. We're still sending prayers for Jean, too!

Re: 4/27 Rusty AMPS 177

hey, we woke up to snow too and the same temperature as you. Hope the apples survive... the tree is covered in flowers.

I saw you speak about the Canidae food (9% on the seafood one), do you know what the other one is in carbs? turkeylambsomething
I bought a couple of cans yesterday.

Continued prayers for Jean.

Rusty, thank you for the cimmamum cake. It was delicious! You are a sweet kitty. :-D

The lagoon awaits its Meister. Definitely not biking weather - I hope it is ok for paddling tomorrow. Have a great day!

I hope the flat blues today mean green tomorrow. Sending prayers for Jean.

So which is the current food, the Canidae or the Felidae? The latter is the one in our stores here. I wondered about the unmentioned peas in it, too.

Welcome to the flat blue club, Rusty. Cinco seems to be taking up permanent residence on that floor. I'm not complaining, exactly, but some greens would be nice!

We had some rain overnight, but it's sunny and nice out now. We're going to get HOT this week, and I am not looking forward to that! Some crazy Spring!

Sending more prayers for Jean.

Hi again,
Canidae is the recent; Felidae is the old formula (and the old name). I got a case of Felidae Turkey, Chicken, Lamb online a few months ago (PetFood Direct's mistake) and saw that it has fish in it (Rusty is allergic to fish), so I sent it to Lyresa to see if any of her crew would eat it.

Rusty had a low-key day with poor appetite. Tonight I gave him some of the Canidae because he was not eating his FF T&G (although he had no trouble eating his freeze-dried chicken treats). He ate the Canidae well. So since he was already at 240, I think he will go even higher with a food spike. I hope he's not having a pancreatitis flare. (I thought the other day that he was trying to get up a hairball, so it may be that.)

Our friend Jean is in the surgical ICU and has had several surgeries on her leg and needs more. She is expected to be in the hospital for several weeks. We are worried. But she is TOUGH! More vines and prayers for her, please.

Wishing all a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

I hope Rusty hasn't decided he only likes the Canidae fuds or that something else is brewing. I'm hoping he's just being a cat and taking a break before heading to the lagoon again soon.

Canoes all ready for the paddle tomorrow? Have a great first paddle.

More healing vines coming your way for Jean. Sounds like she had multiple fractures? I hope you'll be able to visit her sometimes.
