Good evening, L&LL,

Rusty has a nice bounce going (but since I was out all day, I don't know what his numbers were between the PSs). He and Edward had a good day. Edward reports that Rusty ate all of his food, had pretty good breathing, and enjoyed listening to the Bruckner 7th symphony.
This morning's poop had no trace of blood, so that's great (the surgery was a week ago yesterday).

My friends and I had a challenging hike to a fantastic waterfall near the Ausable River. Lots of ice still on the trail and lots and lots of mud. Many streams to cross on rocks (or by walking in the water where it was shallow). The river itself was raging in the spring floods. Here's a picture of the waterfall at Beaver Meadow Falls:

Early on in the 6-mile hike I tripped on a rock and fell flat on my face and both knees. But I immediately took 3 Advil and had no problems with the rest of the hike. Tonight I put Arnica gel on my knees. That stuff is miraculous. Going downstairs now to sit with Rusty and hold his dinner bowl. bbl

I love your pic! So glad Rusty had a good day. Sorry about your knees. Hope there is no lasting pain from the fall.

OMG - 6 miles makes me tired thinking about it. I'm not in shape to walk that on level / paved ground. Wow!

Sounds like a very nice day was had by all, you could have skipped the fall and it would have been close to perfect :cool:. Your picture made me miss the mountains. I grew up in Oregon and truly love Texas but it is pretty flat and the mountains we have are more desert than rain forest.

that's a pretty waterfall. I love waterfalls. We have a list we are making of all the waterfalls we want to visit as retirement gets nearer.

Hope Rusty is eating tonight, breathing well....
and you don't wake up all stiff and sore tomorrow.

Glad Rusty had a good day and musical one with Edward yesterday.
Ella, your 6 mike hike slobgbthe Ausable River sounded great except for the tumble. Glad you had Arnica handy and hope your knees feel better today.

Years ago Steve and I visited the Ausable Chasm during our round about way home from Silver Bay. The river was running fast and furious that day so we stuck to the paths. Awesome Nature.

I'm glad Rusty had a good day listening to his music. Hope he has another good day today.

Fab pic of the waterfall, spectacular, it's such a lovely part of the world. Still looks cold over there.

Hope your knees are not too sore.
:bighug::bighug::kiss:
