Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) I had to go out and get good ~O) this morning. I cannot begin to hold a candle to Mocha Mannie's abilities with coffee beans.... ;-)

I hope everyone is doing well. Yesterday was a swim day for Nicholas. THE FISH had such a good time. He has no fear under water, loves to jump in from the side of the pool, and hit bottom before popping back up. He loves to share all this with the other kids, and finally got two of them to join him. I was trying so hard not to laugh. There he stands on the side of the pool, telling who to jump when.  and making sure they did it right.   He swam almost the width of the smaller big pool, underwater, yesterday, came within a foot before popping up. Not too bad for a two year old. Anyways - a very fun time. Here is the Picassa photo and video link: Swimming We had gone to visit a waterfall by his dad's work before he went home with this dad. It's a nice small one that he really likes. It's kinda gross and filled with algae etc, but he could care less about that: it has water, and it falls.  Picassa link for those photos: At the Falls....

I wanted to share a video with you all too. This was taken while en-route to pick up his dad at work, going 65 on the freeway..... He so loves to have the windows down with the winds blowing in his face. I'd send the windows down and back up and he'd keep telling me: "Again! Make Wind!" So here ya go: the kid in action:

Things are going well here, we are slowly adjusting to life without the Nanner King. I still have not cleaned out his testing supplies. I started to yesterday, just couldn't do it, so there they remain, on the shelf, along with syringes, etc. Laugh of the matter is is that I had just reordered and received everything before he passed. I can smile about that now, and it's really OK, but I just have not been able to part with them yet. I miss him something fierce, but can always visit in my heart, and with so many memories...

Take care everyone. HAPPY CATURDAY TO ALL! ~O)

Morning Michelle, ~O) I think I may also have to go out and about and get a good cup of coffee. My coffee doesn't compare either to MochaMannie's coffee. Those are great pics and videos. For some reason my computer got stuck on The Falls, darn it, but I will try later. My computer needs tuned up with the removing of old files, sites. I tend to procrastinate. I did see "The Wind" video, so cute, and the little things that kids love remind us to appreciate so much in life. He is having a ball and enjoying every minute.
I can imagine how hard it not to remove the diabetic supplies of Mannie's. Just leave it until you are ready.
Have a great day, Michelle. A hike planned today besides chores. Remember chores can always wait. :-D Have a great day.

I love the video of Nicholas in the car. That's so funny. He sure does love the water. That's great he got the other two kids to jump in too.

I completely understand on not being ready to clean out Mannie's testing supplies. It will take time. Wait until you are ready and don't let anyone tell you when that should be. I lost one of my kitties just before Christmas 2011. I had just gotten a refill of her medicine that had to stay in the refrigerator. Every time I would think I should throw it away, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I still have it in the corner of my refrigerator to remind me of her.

Good morning, Michelle, I'm trying to imagine how you were driving, holding the camera, and lowering and raising the windows...  Probably best not to know. Very cute! Nicholas gives us a good reminder to enjoy everything.  I miss Mannie, too. Hugs to you.
Liz

Morning Michelle I just love the pics of your DGS swimming my kids did not start swimming until they were much older and i am amazed at how well your DGS does for one so young

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: It takes time, you are handling things so much better that=n I think I would, but you have Nicholas! :-D :-D He is going to become a ringleader as well as a swimming champ and and amazing naturalist or river guide!

Remember chores can always wait. :-D
I think this is my motto!

Hey Michelle, I only cleaned out Scrabble's testing cabinet about 2 weeks ago so don't feel bad. I found it so hard to do. I just couldn't make myself do it. I am glad you are finding peace with Nicholas. I felt totally lost when Scabble died. Have a very happy Caturday and know Mannie is smiling down a you!

     on the video!! What a smile he has. Love that "MAKE WIND" and "That's funny". Very cute.

Gosh...I still have Max's beds and his Cat Spa. And Teddi's favorite bed. And also Sitka's favorite bed and she's been gone for 7 years now. Some things you just can't part with. I can understand about the testing supplies and Mannie's other things. It will come in time....you can do it when you are ready. I keep thinking I need to take this cat spa to the shelter but it has Max hair in it.....

Hi Everyone! I hope your caturday has been good. It has been OK here, errands and laundry and shopping in the morning, and a woods to shore hike in the afternoon. The tide was at +2.5 feet, so I had to go. We have a very old dilapidated pier there that that the sea life cling to when the tide is out. It really is kinda cool to go and see what was left behind when the tides receded. All kinds of starfish today, and a few anemones. :-D :-D

~O) ~O) ~O) evening coffee for everyone! Probably that Pike Pace Market Blend - really very good! Mannie said so! :-D

Hi Ann - I know on that good coffee! I do almost every morning now. what I need is a good espresso machine so I can attempt the good stuff at home! THX on the pics and the video. I love that wind ting - we do it often as he just laugh so. Its great! And yes on the supplies. It can wait. When it seems right I will donate etc. YES on those darn chores! I did a few errands - lie food cuz I like to eat, but the rest: LATER!! I went on a woods to shore hike instead. SWEET!

Hi Carla - THX on the vid: What a hoot! He really does love to swim - kinda fun to watch him interact with the others - mr lesson giver! I have come to the same conclusion today: those supplies can wait, until I'm ready to part with it all. I think it is wonderful that you kept that vial of medicine.

Hi Liz - LOL on the driving and the camera and the video taking and the windows.... You do not want to know!   I so agree on Nicholas - I am very grateful to have him in my life. He lets me see what really is important. hey THX: i so miss my big guy....

Hi Lisa - THX on the pics. He LOVES the water. We make it fun, try and introduce new things when we go, see how he does. It all took off for him at a very young age. He just keeps building on that foundation. So so nice to see!

Hi Ann - oh yes on Nicholas - he really has helped me get through loosing Mannie. He sees things so simply, and has really enabled me to see what truly matters. Every time he tells me that Mannie is happy, I know in my heart he is right. I love this and probably more that true!:
He is going to become a ringleader as well as a swimming champ and and amazing naturalist or river guide!
I LOVE YOUR NEW MOTTO!! Yes, they can! alot of them did here today too. :-D

Hi Michelle - I know, it is hard to do... and still I haven't. well in good time I guess. I am very grateful for Nicholas: he allows me to focus on other things. I can understand how you felt when you lost Scrabble. That sense of loss is overwhelming, it does hit me too. THX: I think he is too, as Scrabble is on you.

Hi Marje - wasn't that great? LOVE the "Make WIND!" again and again and again.  Yupp, so understand the holding onto things. I still have some of BJ's too. and Corky's toys, and Gus's pillow, and Melissa's blankie, and Chattie's blankie.... the list goes on. I haven't moved any of Mannie's things, the bed with his fur in it, the nanners. Probably won't either.... maybe just the supplies, and I had just restocked everything. I know that somewhere out there someone can use this stuff.....

Hi Michelle,
Just loved the car video, and the "fish" pics, and the waterfall. All of them! What a great little boy Nicholas is! A born leader, too!

I still have Stu's toys, and also Alice's. Rusty has adopted some of them. The longer I held on to Stu's Lantus, the more convinced I became that I could adopt another diabetic kitty. But Rusty was already on Lev., and I donated the Lantus to DCIN.

I'm glad you got out for your tidal walk today. I am really happy to read these Loose Lips posts. And YES on the espresso! Every time I drink one I think of Mannie, Kitteh Barista.

Have a good weekend.

Hugs,
Ella & Rusty

I love the look of joy on Nicholas' face in that car video! Too funny! I was thinking the same as Liz ... I hope she isn't driving the car :o

Yep, I still have beds, blankets, favorite toys, and medications left in my house from Bear Man, Teddy, and Emily. I still have Teddy's little sweater that he wore on his last weekend  and Emily's injectable Famotidine is still in the fridge  I have Bear Man's old meter, even though it has been discontinued and you can't buy strips for it any more. You will do it when (if) the timing feels right.

Nicholas is just amazing...no other way to put it!

I know what you mean about supplies. I still have Mario's transdermal tapazole. I had ordered it, and it came in just days before he crossed, so it s is a brand new, untouched prescription. I tried to donate it to a few people, with no luck, so now it's still sitting by my computer monitor. I had his favorite childhood toy on my nightstand, until civvie Zen started sleeping with us. Since I want that toy "preserved", it's now in my jewelry cabinet, which I go into every day, so I can see it each morning. I suppose it gets easier at some point, but it's different for each of us.

Hi everyone!

And round two of the evening ~O) ~O) ~O)

Hi Ella - wasn't that a hoot? I laugh so hard each time we play that game. He has such a wonderful laugh and smile. Yupp, I have kept things from all my GA kitties.. know I will too for Mannie, espcailly those nanners! I do believe I will donate the Lantus, have a few here in the area that use it so maybe there... THX too on the LLips posts... KInda like old home week for me. yupp: so so true on the coffee!

Hi Linda - I had to do that video - he has such fun with it all. The look of joy is so worth having the wind whip through the car. Ought to be interesting in the rains... THX, I think so too on keeping things. I will now when and if I should.

Hi Amy - THX, I think he is too. He's a fun kid, very receptive and enjoys all that he does. it's great! I agree - it should get easier but right you are- it is different for each of us. I know on the supplies - I must have at least a dozen meters...

Hi Liz - BINGO!    and THANK GAWD for power windows....

Evening....
I loved the video too. It's good to be so full of life. Every day is an adventure.

I still have the hair clippings of one of my special dogs (also named Shadow) all the way back from 1981. I'll never part with it. I just can't.

Nice video!

Perhaps don't throw the supplies out, keep them and adopt another diabetic kitty when you are ready! A wise friend once told me the best tribute to your previous pet is to adopt a new one.. It shows how much you loved having them in your life that you get another.

HI everyone!

Hi Rhiannon - THX on the vid - he is such fun. An adventure daily for sure! I so hear you on the hair clipping. I wouldn't either.

Hi Wendy - thx too on the vid. so so fun! the thought on adopting another has entered my mind. We shall see how that goes. Elsa is 17 /18 years old, and the debate goes on in my mind as to whether she would really want another in the house. I'm going to have to think some more on this....
