Thinking about changing it to A2 Gizmo since there are so many Gizmos the A2 might be easier to notice before the F afterwards. Plus that's our location (Ann Arbor, MI)

405 for AMPS. Its lower, so I guess we'll take it. The neosporin definitely helps, I smear a very tiny bit on before, it seems to make the blood easier to "catch" if that makes sense? And then after as I hold it down with the cotton round I use that to wipe off any excess so I'm pretty confident he isn't injesting any, and the active ingredient, bacitracin, seems to be okay in trace amounts even if he or Widget does.

Having friends over tonight, so let so how this goes :-/

I did have a lightbulb moment that because those Salmon purebites are so stinky (seriously, gross) that I would put 2 little pieces in each "mousie" of theirs from their old fry food system (it's the 'no bowl feeding system') to give them something to do today. I figure 4 treats broken into 10 pieces hunted down by 2 cats shouldn't be enough to cause any issues, but might be enough that Gizmo isnt quite as destructive as he has been most this week (every day I have come home to all the blankets and pillows ripped off the beds and couches, anything on tables/counters knocked onto the floor, one of the days he managed to pry open the dishwasher since it was left open a crack (thankfully it was clean dishes) and the lower kitchen cabinets opened and some of the pots and pans pulled out.

Everytime anyone asks me if I want kids I just explain I have a Gizmo, lol.

Wow, your Gizmo sounds very...ummm...active!

And it totally makes sense on the neosporin, It does help a lot and you don't need much.

Hope he continues to come down a bit for you. Though it looks like he may need more juice.

Ohh yeah he's a pistol. He's been that way since a kitten. He actually chose me, the day I adopted him I was actually supposed to adopt a different kitten, a little tortie, and one rep forgot to tell the other that she was on hold and someone else was walking out with her as I walked in. They asked me to look around at their other kittens and I decided to out of courtesy but I was pretty bent out of shape (and also didn't want a tabby which is all they had because I -thought- tabbys were "boring"). They opened his room for someone else looking at his sibling and he came tearing out, crawled up my leg, up my side onto my shoulder, looked me right in the face with his ginormous ears (he grew into them) and meowed super loud in my face. I just looked at the adoption rep and said "well, I hope this one isn't on hold because it's going home with me". He's been keeping me on my toes ever since, though for all the frustrations, he returns it with affection tenfold. :cat:

Yeah, I am suspecting he might need more too. Tomorrow is probably when I am going to make the switch away from the prescription food, since I will be able to keep an eye on him somewhat (will be home from AMPS to +7, then at PMPS, then home from probably +4 and thereafter, and I am going to try and do 4 small meals spaced out at AMPS, in between, PMPS and bedtime to see if that helps keep him a little more steady.

Maybe the drop in carbs will level him out a little, but we will see.

PMPS 289. That's looking better. Opened a new can of test strips and the first one borked up but he was super patient and just sat there and let me poke him a second time to get the read, despite strangers being here. Think the first time I inserted the needle for the shot I hit a muscle since his shoulder twitched but I just pulled back out and re-aimed and he was fine...now I understand why they say don't touch the plunger until you know you are ready to shoot.

+6 354...we have a house full of strangers and hes been pretty good. Decided to hold off on his bedtime meal until +6 so try and break his meals to be about 6 hrs apart. Hes pretty chill, not as hidey as he usually gets around strangers.
