China has broken her baby bounce and is back in the green lagoon today! I didn't figure we'd get away without a bounce of some kind yesterday after her cliff dive, but was pleased it wasn't any higher than it was

Got thunderstorms coming this afternoon/evening! I love a good storm! Of course we're under a Tornado Watch too, but here in Missouri (as well as other states in the middle of the country) we're under some kind of watch/warning pretty much 5 days out of 7 in the springtime so the attitude is mostly "Big Deal"..LOL You can't really live here if you're going to freak out every time they issue a watch. When I was in kindergarten I had come home at lunchtime and a storm blew in...DM went to close the windows in the house and called me to come look..there was a tornado in the field a few houses down from us. I was hooked! Storms have fascinated me ever since! Of course I never want anybody hurt, or anyone to lose their homes, but if they'll stay in the fields, that's good with me!

More great numbers for China. She really likes this dose, doesn't she? :mrgreen: I love how she surfs so close to the edge, but just doesn't take that extra step to earn a reducie. Probably aggravates you, though, huh? :mrgreen:

The two things in nature that terrify me are tornados and fire. They are both unpredictable and leave total destruction in their wake. We went through a tornado in Florida when I was about 5 - on Christmas Eve. We lived on an Air Force base on the coast, and it came out of the water zig zagged across the base, damaging some homes and leaving others unscathed. We were one of the lucky houses - all we lost was power. I remember opening presents by lantern light (the sky was still dark from the storms). We had no basement to hide in there - no one did. Some of our friends had their presents scattered around the neighborhood. It's scared me ever since. I hope you and your friends and family all stay safe!!

I always think you can look out the window for tornados but I guess that doesn't count the ones that come down fast and are above your own house.
So yep, don't like the sudden thrust that comes with fires or tornados or probably sink holes and earthquakes either.

I did skinny up the dose Tricia...she'd been running a little too close to the edge and had dipped below 50 several times, so I took the skinny 1.5 instead and will see how she does. If ever there was a good candidate for microdosing, China may be it at this point.

If I drop her a full .25, she inevitably fails the reduction, so we're trying something different.

It would be a lot easier on me if she'd either really crash through the line so it was glaringly obvious she needed less juice or stayed too high so it was obvious she needed more, but China's not going to make it easy....LOL

She's done this before...had just beautiful numbers on a dose for quite a long time, but then the numbers get wonky, with some higher than I'd like but still getting a little too low at nadir to justify an increase

It sure would be nice to find a perfect dose that would keep her at 80 all day, every day (A bean can dream can't she? :lol: )

Yeah, no matter where you live, there's going to be something...Earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, floods, sinkholes or tornadoes that can wipe you out. I guess it just comes down to what you're used to living with, the preparations you've made and a lot of luck. The people who live in the house across the street from me came from Joplin, Missouri. They're house was totally destroyed in the 2011 Joplin tornado that ended up killing 162 people. Like I said earlier, if they'd stay in the fields and not hurt anyone, they're really kind of cool...but that's a huge "IF"

Nice numbers for China today. I'd love to find that perfect dose too. :lol:

Another good set of numbers Chris. Actually you've had a great week of numbers........wish you could get some reductions from them.
