Zener is a little unsettled this morning and his appy isn't great. I massaged his tummy a bit but maybe he needs a little more. He was getting in the food cabinet so I tried opening the other two flavors he will eat. He just nibbled at them. :sad: He did go on yard patrol and is acting perky other than the appy. Today is our civie Tillie's birthday. She is 12.

Serryn: Zener listened so well yesterday, could you please tell Zener to eat? :lol: :lol: I wish that's all it took.

Thinking of ailing kitties, beans and droolers. I'm so glad to see Lyresa's Harley is doing great.

I hear ya on the appy rollercoaster. My Mario is the same way...it's frustrating, but at least Z is otherwise perky, so I'm sure his appy will follow.

I've been there too, i think it took over a year to get Tess to eat Wellness. Now I'm just not rocking the boat. But he's happy otherwise so that's is good! :-D :-D

Well, that was interesting. I massaged his tummy a little more and he did NOT like that. Then I noticed he was licking his rear foot and there was pine sap stuck between his pads. Must have been very annoying. He swatted at me as I was inspecting, then purred when I got the little scissors and the optivisor magnifier and cut away what I could. Mr. Hyde kitty appeared in full force when I tried to test. There was enough blood to test ME. And, of course, the first strip didn't get enough blood and I had to do a second poke. Then, he ate like a champ! :lol: :lol: Looks like sweet Mr. Jekyll kitty has returned and he's napping in my office chair.

Ella: Your wish is Zener's command! Thank you!

Devon: All good now. That tummy massage is magic for him.

Jac: Tillie thanks you for the birthday wishes.

Amy: The appy issue IS frustrating. At least we have figured out the tummy massage will usually do the trick.

@Ann & Maggie - thanks for the birthday wishes to Tillie, she sometimes feels a little neglected with all the attention Zener gets until we explain to her that the extra attention involves needles. :lol:

It's a rare rainy day in Flagstaff, and the kitties are disgusted. :roll:

It's been a typical spring day in the mountains - started off warm and cloudy, then rain, thunderstorm, wind and snow! :lol: The kitties are totally disgusted and yard patrol has been severely curtailed this evening, though Zener still had a picnic!

Oh good grief, he is definitely on the way up. We don't know what works. It feels like a crap shoot most of the time. We keep trying things but don't really see that what we are trying does anything. :YMSIGH: Any suggestions or advice is welcome!

Despite our cold evening, Zener made his backyard rounds, picnics, chasing the birthday girl Tille and puffing up his tail when something came into his yard - not sure what it was but most likely Mr Skunk! :shock:
