Wow...someone is feeling good today. She and Midgie are chasing each other around the house. We got a good bit of playing with her last night, too.

Side note: I've compared 50 Alpha vs. Relion tests. With my meters, there is an average of 42.78 points difference, the Alpha always higher.

Congrats on Trial Day 7!

Amy, interesting with the variance with the two meters. I've been having a smaller variance with the AT and my Relion Micro. Yesterday when I had a 77 on the AT, the Relion Micro indicated a 66! I'll try and do a few more tests. I was thinking I needed a new Relion meter! With a higher number, a larger variance though!

There is definitely a wider difference in the higher numbers than the lower but I can't say I've ever seen under mid-20s.

Hi Amy,
I don't mean to hijack your condo with talk of meters, but since we were discussing it, I did another test. I had a 134 on my primary AT meter and a 144 on my Relion Micro, very strange. I am beginning to think I need a new back-up. They're so inexpensive anyway.

I don't think its hijacking!

I actually have two Alphas but I don't use the second one because that would throw even more confusion into the mix, which I so don't need.
(the second was bought in a moment of panic late one night when I was convinced I had broken the first one)

Yay! Happy Day Seven!!

I bought Morlei some FF Beef & Chicken and she loved it! Well, she loves food in general and scarfs down just about anything I put in front of her...but I like to think she appreciated the new flavor haha. And it didn't seem to raise her BG up a lot, she was only 25 points higher at +3. So maybe she is more carb sensitive than I thought.
Do you ever give Ruby any of the seafood flavors? I thought it'd be a nice treat for Morlei to have once or twice a week but she wouldn't eat much of it...a little odd because this is a cat that LOOOOVES food.

I give Ru little freeze dried whitefish treats when I gave her shots, but I can barely tolerate the smell of fish in general. She's never had those flavors, though, so she doesn't know what she's missing! She's super picky on the food. I tried a bunch of different Wellness and Merrik flavors and she turned her nose up at all of them. She really likes the FF Chopped Grill, too, but Midgie's decided she won't eat it. I'm lazy and tend to feed them both the same flavor. :smile:

Hi Amy,
Yes, you're halfway there, paws crossed.

I guess my Relion Micro is okay afterall! Maggie's +9 was 120, and the Relion Micro was 103! I think once in a while there's a blip. The kitties sure do love the FF fishy flavors.
