Yesterday on Lovely Ruby, Kitty Cat.

We got a high blue number this morning, or at least high for Ruby. The numbers started creeping up yesterday. Will see how low she goes today. Sigh. Aside from disappointing numbers I’ve got a happy purry kitty on my hands.

Healing thoughts for all the sick kitties and hugs to you beans. Have a great start to the week everyone. :bighug:

Ruby, please come to my house and show Susie (and me) how good you are with those numbers. That blue was really low. Almost a green. Have a great day, Katherine and I hope you feel a little better every day.
Thanks for the good wishes, Summer. Sadly, that blue is not almost green, as I need Ruby's numbers to be between 50-80 most of the time in order for her to achieve a strong remission. She will be fine if she hovers in the low 100s--it's below renal threshold, she will continue to do her happy cat thing--but she will not be able to go off the juice and that is my goal here. We are very close, but not there yet.

I understand, Katherine.

Hi Katherine, nice to imagine Ruby’s sweet purrs. Hope you are feeling better and not rushing recovery. Ruby barely even had a blue this morning. I haven’t even started a condo for Dolly yet. She was doing so well and then talk about creeping, Dolly started out creeping then leaped this morning to an AMPS of 146 :arghh: followed by a 108 at +2.25. I may have to think about an increase when I was hoping for a reduction :(. Enough of our woes. I hope you have a restful day and Ruby surfs safely. I see she was peeking at another barely blue, maybe there is something in the air  Sending big hugs and green numbers :D :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

PMPS = 101. Shortly after her evening meal, Ruby gave us a #bluepoop. Not my favorite kind of poop as I like #greenpoop more, but happy it occurred so now I have an explanation for today's numbers. I stopped all fiber supplements in Ruby's food over the last two days and added powdered egg yolk again to see if fats would do a better job at improving her gut motility than the bulking action of fiber. It seems to have done the trick. :woot:

Thanks everyone for putting up with and enabling our poop saga. :bighug:

Yay for happy and purry...and let’s not forget tightly controlled:D, which is also wonderful. :bighug:
Indeed! Don't get me wrong, am very happy with where Ruby is at. I am very fortunate that she has responded so well to insulin, but I do, rather selfishly, want a bit more of my freedom back, and Ruby keeps dancing around and teasing me on these low doses and is driving me a little cuckoo.

Ruby's BGs trend upwards whenever she has to poop. Hence #bluepoop :p, but sometimes we get really lucky and we get #greenpoop. :D
Okay, so now I see what's wrong with Our Dolly Girl today. :stop: If I would have had my technicolor glasses on, perhaps what I had mistaken for clay covered brown poop was probably blue . Mystery solved :p. I too am very grateful for Dolly's journey with insulin that has maybe not been perfect, but mostly in a good range. I want her to have no poke days again and know it may not happen but try to stay positive. Ruby's number are beautiful and so close.:nailbiting: Take care Katherine, get lots of rest. I hope you continue to let Frank help. I love this new Rob (and the old one as well). I like the new me that can accept the help :D. Surf safely Ruby. Sending hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Does Dolly get constipated, too? It's become my life's mission to solve this issue for Ruby. It seems to have gotten worse since she's been on the raw diet. :(
