4/26 Morris weekend update - need advice pls!

My daughter & I took Morris with us for a long weekend get away! We left Thursday evening & came home Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, Morris cooperated in the hotel room a lot better this time around compared to the last trip we took him on! He enjoyed curling up on the bed with us at night, then going off for a stroll, then coming back to bed to relax with us some more. He did not bother either of us too much while we were sleeping!

While we were away, however, Morris had some strange happenings with his BG numbers! Do you think it could have been because he was in unfamiliar surroundings? I have updated his spreadsheet with all the readings I took over the weekend. Also, I started a new cartridge of insulin last night when we got home.

I don`t have many strips left & I don`t have money right now to purchase another box of them....hopefully my tax refund will come in the mail in the next day or so (dh`s arrived today & we filed at the same time) & then I will be able to buy more. I need to be frugal with the strips, however, until that cheque arrives!

It appears Morris was bouncing from those low BG's he threw you. ;-) I have heard that some kitties can go low when stressed out rather than go high. Maybe he is one of those. Can you get any spot checks tonight? I would be interested to see how low he will go from here. Please do get a BG before you do to bed.

A cat can rebound for 72 hours sometimes...Hope you can get some strips..Did you ever go into the board index & go into the Supply Closet??
Sometimes they have coupons, or even someone has strips to sell or give away--Just a thought..you do need to test him as much as you can.

Oh my gosh Gwen. I am so sorry....I was wrapped up in looking at your SS and asking you to get spot checks that I completely overlooked the fact that you are low on strips. :?

Sometimes they have coupons, or even someone has strips to sell or give away--Just a thought..you do need to test him as much as you can.

Problem is, I am in Canada! Even if someone had coupons they probably wouldn't be valid here or if they had strips they could send me, it would take forever for them to get here!

Because his refund was only $3!!! LOL!!! My refund, is going to be about $900.
