Dear Mikey,
Apparently your learning style does not involve learning from pictures. That's ok! Mommy is an experienced teacher with many strategies at her disposal. Let's try a new one. Today we will make a Venn diagram. See the first circle? It says "cat" and lists the following traits: animal, furry, two ears, four paws, tail. Now look at the second circle. It says "rubber ball" and lists these traits: hard, smooth, round, not alive, bounces. Let's look at the overlapping section. You will notice that it is empty. Yes, EMPTY! That means that cat and rubber balls have nothing in common.
Next, let's get a mirror. Look at your reflection. You will notice that you are an animal. See all that fur? You have two ears, four paws and a tail. You are not hard, smooth, or round, and you are most certainly alive. Clearly, you are a cat, NOT a rubber ball. Therefore, you should not bounce. SO CUT IT OUT!!!!
Love,
Mommy
