Good morning.....I guess I will start this thread today.
My lips are not very loose at this time of the morning.

I hope everyone has a great day! Not very profound was it?

  Have a great day everyone!

8 hours of endlessly walking around a classroom on silence are ahead of me! FUUUUN!

Are you teaching a course on silence, Natalia? Ha Ha, I guess you are giving exams? You could entertain the students (and yourself) by playing John Cage's 4' 33" for them as they contemplate their answers. It is a piece of "silent" music that takes exactly 4 minutes and 33 seconds to play. There will be lots of sounds in those 4 minutes and 33 seconds, and these sounds are the piece. Of course, every time it is played it is different. (It is probably the most famous piece of "aleatory" music.)

Flooded cellar report: the "lake" is alive and well. Bucket brigade has started it's daily work.

Everyone have a good day. Perhaps Miriam will loosen up her lips!

Ella

Good luck to the bucket brigade...now, IF you could heat that water like a spa, you might be on to something! I wonder how long it takes for the water table to drain....good luck with that today Ella....
(why am I remember Fantasia now? The brooms and the water everywhere....oh my...you poor baby!)

Good luck with the bucket brigade today.

I'm off and running this morning here in a few... May stop home around noon to get a read on Attie today. He has dropped quite a bit this morning.

We are inbetween the two fronts today...Wind is a howling, but no rain yet. Forecaster said STORMS for this afternoon...so I want to try and get all the walks in before they hit. 5 dogs to do today and 3 cats!

I can't find my digi camera either..... :? And I ususally post a picture log for clients...

Between my glasses, pens, and camera I need more pockets or they all need to be on lanyards around my neck.

Attie is either looking for a hiding place or is at the door asking for Gary to come out...

See ya'll later...

Good Morning! This is my first post in the new "LL". Good to see everyone. Even you, Miriam

Ella, I have been following your woes with "Lake Ella". I don't have quite as nice a water feature in my basement. Mine is sort of a babbling brook which I decorate with litter boxes around the perimeter of the basement and towels to catch the excess. Teddy loves to go down and play in the indoor pool. I am waiting for the ark to pull up in front of my house because I am pretty sure that it has been raining for forty days and forty nights.

In some upbeat news, Miss Emily is doing a bit better! I really thought that I was losing her over the weekend. My big regret with Bear Man was that I didn't hit him harder with steroids at the end when he stopped eating. I had some of his old Prednisolone tablets at home, so I was able to start Emily on them on Saturday, along with some of Teddy's Ondansetron (with my vet's approval). If anyone has ever tried to get a toddler to open up and eat broccoli, that's what it's like getting a Pill Pocket into an inappetant Emily. Last night I came upstairs to see Emily sitting at her dish and eating on her own initiative. I am so grateful, and I pray that she continues to improve. Today she still needs me to coax her to nibble on her food, and tomorrow I have to go back to tbp, so she may not eat all day. I hope Teddy can encourage her to get up and eat a bit.

Hi Linda,
Hooray for Miss Emily eating on her own! I hope she continues to improve.
Nice set-up in your basement: a spa for Teddy. I should try something like that. We could call it "This Year at Ellabad". Rusty went down to the cellar yesterday (the door was open, so of course he had to investigate). He got his feet wet in the icy water, then hopped up on a narrow ledge that runs around the floor and couldn't turn around without getting back in the water. So he walked backwards, spotted a dry spot, and hopped down. He didn't mind going upstairs after that!!

"On the bright side, you still have your paddle!"

Avanti Cards!

That was pretty clever of Rusty. :-D

My fun for the day, tuna cleanup. Ugh!
I left a newly opened can of tuna on the counter, walked away to grab phone, and in a flash, Himself was up, and the tuna was down....splashed all over the cupboards, floor, stove, which happened to have the drawer open, so baking pans, etc, had to be taken out and washed. Grrrrr!
Now he tried to jump up on the desk next to me, just as I moved my arm, and he got knocked to the floor. My poor baby didn't trust me, when I tried to apologise, so I gave him a couple of Temptations, as a bribe. I hope I didn't undo all our good work.

Civvie Tux, is next to me, clicking his teeth at a crow, squawking in a tree. The bird is bigger than he is.
