Morning All,
:coffee::coffee::coffee:

BFG seems a little brighter this morning, +11 was 104, so he was flattish, maybe dropping a fraction int PS. He's been up and down the stairs a couple of times this morning under his own steam and no funny turns. He's still congested, poo still runny (probiotics on their way) but he looks more alert and is moving better. He's a long way from being himself, but he is improving.
On a side note my other two kitties seem to have developed squidgy poo too, though they are both young and full of beans. Makes me hopeful that the diarrhea is a tummy bug. This got me thinking DH and I both had gastroenteritis a couple of weeks ago, could we have given it to them? (it's been going round)

Vines and Prayers for those who need them.

Glad he is doing better. Nice numbers too. Glad you jumped right in on the insulin - may it be short lived. :cat:

Do the kitties all eat the same food? Wonder if it was a can or 2 of "off" food.

Sorry kitty has been not feeling well, hope he feels better soon! And all the kitties!
What kind of probiotics did you order, I have another cat who needs them, I’ve been giving him yogurt with live bacteria

No point in waiting, even if it's just this virus that's causing the problem his BG being high won't have been helping how he feels, and it's definitely not good for his kidneys.
It helped that his vet was on board with me re starting the insulin, didn't have to go against her wishes. Though I have been wondering if I should have started at 0.5u, he's been eating OK, but appy was a bit off when we did our first shot. Shooting a kitty with appy issues is scary (new for me).

No they don't they're all on good quality wet diet, but two are under a year old so are still on kitten food, don't touch George's I feed them separate otherwise George would finish theirs off too. Then we have acquired 3 outdoor cats (or rather they have acquired us), they're on a different brand, one of them was off for a couple of weeks(wobbly loss of appy) maybe 6-8weeks ago, a local friend of mine says a number of her cats have had a virus, snotty etc (most of those are farm cats, so we don't know if poop has been a problem). The other two outdoor cats have seemed fine.

It wouldn't surprise me if it is the same thing that they have all had, but given his age, and diabetes, perhaps it's just hit him harder. Elderly humans can get really knocked of their feet by a simple cold, I figure it's the same for senior cats.

I've ordered the Jarrow and some probiotics, they should arrive next week, so I'll start him on the B vits to help with the anaemia.
and the probiotics for all to try and knock the squidgy poo.
Here's a collage of all the kitties

I think it sort of depends what you want it for, for the poop issues S boulardii
a lot of folk here use the Renew life, I can't get it here in Spain so I've ordered a similar product.

Awesome group of kitties, thanks for helping the outside kitties!

Hi Gill,
Glad that George is feeling on the mend today. :bighug: Hope the squits resolve soon, for one and all, and that George will be back at the Falls real soon.:bighug:
❤️:bighug:

Thanks Sina, how are you holding up?
Oh, Gill, thanks for asking. ❤️ We’re hanging in, some days very bumpy some days ok. Although she was an all-seasons girl, I always think of Azalea as in Springtime and Summer. The forsythias and azalea bushes are beginning to bud, the daffodils are in full bloom right now. Brings smiles. She’s often in my dreams. ❤️❤️❤️

Sorry to see you and BFG back Gill and hopefully it's short lived. Glad to hear the boy is improving. With all the kitties having poo issues, must be something going around and hope it resolves soon. I can't see the bag of kitties pic though :( Looks like the depot is filling so hopefully he'll be surfing the lagoon soon.

Pooped @+11 more solid.

I've left for yoga DH is in charge. Will be back in a couple of hours.

WellW see if it's a non event or if hepicks up the courage to go surf the lagoon.

I'll. Pm you the pic when I get home. That worked for Mandy.

Well DH got 152 @+1, so decided to give bfg a wee break.....

85@+4:D nice to see a midcycle green.
Came to find his supper, ate it all, eyes not as watery, still congested and sneezing, we had a cuddle, he's purring and his fur feels soft.

Now of course will need to set an alarm.

I couldn't see the photo either. :(

So far, BFG is looking good on the .25 u dose.

I hope that it is just a virus going around and the George will be ditching the juice soon. As far as I know, human and kitty viruses don't cross over to each other.

I'll add you to the pm, I don't know what I'm doing wrong:confused:

Oh my, I couldn’t open the photo either but figured maybe the cyber gods were feeling testy today.

Looking good so far, George, you got this!

What are the inverted curves about? I don’t see them often or consistently like that, just curious why that’s happening?

I am so sorry George has been unwell and has had to go back on insulin. I hope it is only for a short time.
When Sheba was in remission (for more than 2 1/2 years) she got high BSLs for a couple of days when she got sick
(usually pancreatitis). They went up quite high around 270 to 350 for a couple of days then back down to normal.
Sending many vines to George for a full recovery.
