4/26 Darcy AMPS 225

So sorry to hear about Darcy's day yesterday. I think I missed something. Does he have a port in his arm/leg for the Sub-Q fluids? Wouldn't it be easier, for him, to have that removed and do the fluids through the needle between the shoulder blades? If I were a cat I would be so uncomfortable with that in my arm (leg). Just a thought. I do hope you are able to get out of jury duty. Hope Darcy does well at the vets today. I'm sure he will be happy to get home.

Gave 1/2 tab Cerenia since he vomited last night (although I think that was from pain.). Shot 9 units. Will not be updating SS until later on. No time. On phone now and not computer so I will have to link his condo from yesterday later on today.
Thinking of you and all the events for the last few days. Hoping Darcy’s pain has lessened or better yet gone. I hope the trembling and shaking is also gone, so much to figure out to get him comfortable and well. I am guessing you are still at the courthouse. I hope whoever decides your fate is a pet owner. Sending love and prayers and hope you are soon where you need to be, “at home with your Darcy”. If I was a cat I most certainly would want you to be my mom :joyful: Surf safely Darcy and try and keep your food in your tummy where it belongs :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Summer. The IV Catheter that they left in his arm was for them to use on Monday (yesterday) for the IV fluids. At home, on Sunday since he was not at the vet, then yes I did give just regular subcutaneous fluids (100 mL). They had to place a new IV catheter yesterday and I hope this one will last him a while because he is back again today and most likely will be there every day this week to see if we can get his kidney numbers down. I'll update on that in today's condo. Hugs to you and Susie!
