My sister has arrived and has tested Chloe twice pretty successfully! Her name is Vanessa and I've shown her this forum and how it works. If she has to post, she will sign as Vanessa using my login.

Chloe was dropping down a bit, but is on the rise, so we're just going to keep an eye on her numbers for the day. Thanks for all of the help so far.

That’s a great idea that she can post here while you are away. I’m glad the testing went successfully, I know Chloe isn’t always agreeable.

So, my sister gave the shots a try - the glucose testing has been a little challenge, but she's getting it. It's more of Chloe needing to behave, lol! But, tonight, about an hour after her PM shot, I smelled the Lantus on her. It's a strong scent. Just to be sure, I administered .25u as I don't think she got any in her, unfortunately. She was a little squirmy for Vanessa, but we have 3 more doses of practice (shots) before we leave Saturday afternoon. Keep your paws crossed that Chloe will behave and let her Auntie help her.

It’s not a good idea to give more insulin after a fur shot. I have been certain I’ve given a furshot before and you wouldn’t know it from how the cycle played out. It’s just too hard to tell how much did or didn’t get in and they all recover from them. She might be bouncing or it could be the result of the furshot. I wouldn’t worry too much, she will come down soon.
