Looks like China's up to her old tricks again...a little cliff dive to start her weekend off right!

Maybe she's a cat on a mission?!

I'm going to probably reduce her tonight (if there's no big bounce) and just see how it goes. She's dropped below 50 several times on this dose, but she's usually right on the line and a little low carb snack sets her surfing.

Her numbers have been so great I'm almost more scared of shaking her up and causing her to go into wonky numbers than I am for her to go too low.

This disease is crazy!!

Wow, what a dilemma to have, Chris. I totally see why you wouldn't want to rock the boat, but she keeps surfing so close to the line that you are tempted to go ahead a reduce. I don't envy you! (well, maybe I envy the numbers, but not the decision!). Whatever you decide, I hope China continues to do so well. :mrgreen: I'll bet her little ears are getting tired of all these pokes, so maybe if you explain to her that if she holds the reduction you might not have to poke as often? ;-)

China has been dancing on the edge of that reduction for a while. Paws crossed this time she works it. Think of it as an opportunity for her to show you how well she can work less juice this time. You don't want to get in the situation where her depot is too full. Go China! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
 
Thanks for the visits today!! The bounce has arrived, but hopefully it'll just be a baby bounce! I sure can't be surprised considering how fast she dropped!

Going to try and skinny the 1.5 and see how she does. With her history of failing reductions and how well she's been doing, figured I'd try it instead of the full reduction. I think if any cat is a decent example of when it might be appropriate to take a shave instead of a full reduction, China might be it! She's also a pretty good example of no matter how much time they spend in normal numbers, kitties will still bounce!!

I test her enough, that's for sure! I'm surprised her ears look as good as they do!

Hopefully splitting the difference between the 1.5 and 1.25 will work well for her!

Lurkers...Please remember that China is a longer term diabetic so I am choosing to not take reductions until she's dropped below 50 three times. Also, depending on how experienced you are, how your cat responds to insulin and how long diabetic, it's almost always best to take a full reduction of .25 instead of trying to skinny the dose
