Another fine day for Miss China....can't say the same for the rest of us though! Just got this started and my phone started going off with watches and warnings, so I think I'd better get off the computer while this goes by!!

Of course this afternoon I have to take DM to the doctor...might be interesting!! Be back later....unless we end up "Over the rainbow"!

Beautiful #s from China today:D ... I am thinking good thoughts for you tonight, Chris, that those storms pass by you without causing any damage or harm.:bighug:

Well we're still on our side of the rainbow, but there's lots of severe stuff still coming so it may be a loud night!!

Sure glad the storms don't seem to bother China.....I know some kitties really freak out but she just surfs along

Got some really good news on DM today....Her A1C is back down to where it was 6 months ago...Back in December it had raised from 6.2(too high) to 7.2 (WAY too high) and today it was back down to 6.3

Her kidney values were better than they were back in December too...pretty much back to where they'd been in September. Still in stage 4 kidney failure, but at least stable and not getting worse

That must be a relief. (How ever do you manage dealing with all that and the diabetes, too?)

Yes it really is...Mom's 86 and I know she won't live forever, but I sure was happy to see better bloodtest results today when they could have been worse

Don't have a lot of choice as far as dealing with it.....We do what we have to do!! Luckily I only live a mile away from her and most of her appointments are here in town so if China pulls a fast one, I can almost always dash home to check on her if I need to

Yes, it's really good that you're close by! My mom's 89, still lives at home up in CO (alone; widowed now) and thank goodness my brother only lives less than 10 minutes away, as she is increasingly at risk for falls (has happened several times now, and she cannot get back up on her own due to severe RA damage to her feet).

My mom's originally from CO too....born and raised mostly in Durango

They breed them tough there!! My great grandmother lived to be over 100 and until the day she died, she was still stoking a stove in the kitchen for heat, gardening a huge vegetable garden and had some of the most beautiful roses that she tended to every day. The only "trouble" she ever was to the family was when she'd lose her hearing aid in the roses....LOL
