@+2 fed 1tsp LC
@+3 [63] 1tsp LC & bits of cooked chicken
Rock on Cali
She is really rocking Lev! :D
I wonder if there is a link between the meloxicam and the greens. Time will tell!

should I give her meloxicam 1xdaily or 2xdaily . before I just gave it periodically when I could see her limping badly.

Budge is on a once a day dose of 0.05mg/kg. It gives her diarrhea, so I make sure to give her S. Boulardii and I don't give it on an empty stomach.

Almost 24 hours in green! :D

melox Cali for Cali using 0.05mg/kg weight would be: 1lb=0.45359237 kg. X 14 lbs for Cali = 6.35 kilograms X 0.05 mg = 0.31 mg Melox dose for Cali daily.
14lbs is Cali interim hopeful, not actual yet. You mentioned use of 1ml syringe to dose. I have little syringe vet gave me for BUPE but the writing is wearing off and you advised not to use syringes that came with the melox based on dogs and pounds. So, 0.31 mg is X ml. [oh why didn’t I embrace the metric system in school knowing I would some day need to dose animals?]

1cc=1ml. Now I remember by large animal vet telling me that years ago, but horses need horse sized doses and syringes.

Almost 24 hours in green! :D

??? Regarding KIDNEY HEALTH, which values on the LABS Are important measures and trends [both blood CBC and urine]. I know specific gravity in urine is one to track. I think BUN and creatinine are also indicative of health or decline? Also do the ketones which we track constantly play a key role in assessing kidney function?
Cali’s last labs were good in December 2021, I just want to educate myself further. Veterinarians and doctors usually only point out key variances, otherwise they summarize labs in general.

The kidney markers are phosphorus, creatinine and BUN. Cali looks good on last labs. She’s concentrating her urine too.

You don’t want the phosphorus to get any higher.

Phosphorus is the other key # on the food chart that we should manage proactively correct? The matrix of what is good LC and Low phosphorus matched against what is available in our current supply challenges.

thank you both for the information.

@+6.25 [67] midday meal 1.5tbsp LC + ck bits
Cali was hungry even though YES she got a little tiny snack @+5. She came into kitchen requesting food at +6 on the dot, having jumped on and off the bed even though I forgot to replace her pet stairs from an earlier test.
I Am not seeing a frown curve, onset [+3?], nadir, or duration - just looking at swimming in green :D

Beautiful surf today! Wonder if she will bounce or another sleepless night for you?!
Thank you Bhooma for everything. I planned to log a +4 test tonight and go from there. What do you think?
If she did bounce, is that upward action?
Little LC snack at +2 to smooth?

Sounds good. She might give you a cycle like the PM of 4/24. Or might go higher to yellow and pinks in a larger bounce.
Or she might surprise us with another active cycle tonight. A +4 should give you an idea of what she is planning.

+4 88 1tsp LC

NEXT TEST TBD? each cycle seems different so safe to feed snack @+7, then test +8?
