yesterday

got up early today... shot... and then went out to have yard sale part 2.... raked in $200.

Shadow seems to not be feeling so spiffy today.....
guess it's just all wearing her down.... need to get all her meds correct today.

thanks to amy for showing me a new website to spend money at.....:eek::joyful:

I like The Animal Rescue Site for a different reason. I get an email reminder every day to go and just click a link, donates kibble to shelters! Now that I know I can get Noodle's nanners there its a whole different ball game. :smuggrin:
 
before we had to start the prednisolone..... Shadow's numbers were all below 100. ( I hadn't bothered to put it all on her sheet)
her pancreas was working fine....

and we jumped up and started insulin.... as the numbers rose....

IF my insulin were dead, wouldn't this just be her own body's normal.....

I don't feel like the insulin has anything to do with where she is at.....

I've had the insulin in the fridge for a year and half.... and it expires this coming july.
I guess the only way I will know is to get another pen.....
 
was it completely unopened? if so, I'd think it might still be ok. If it was opened 1.5 years ago, then sat in the fridge I'd be less confident that it was ok.

Her BGs still look pretty good. I might try a small dose inrease to push her back in greens, if you're wanting her there. But overall she still is mostly in normal numbers.

Sending healing vines for Shadow- feel better little girl and eat your fuds! :bighug::bighug: Her numbers are amazing if she's on pred AND your insulin is toast! If her stools are getting more normal and no vomiting, it could also be that the inflamation in her guts are healing from the meds.
 
I think I'll call in for a new one on monday....
if we stay status quo with the new pen, i can always go back to using the old one.

my gut just says this is all her own bgs.... and the insulin I have is like I'm shooting water.
which also will be good in that the prednisolone isn't shooting her to the moon.....
 
Hi Rhiannon! I'm sorry you guys had to come back to rent a condo, but it's nice to "see" you:bighug:. I hope you can get a new pen to see if that helps. Healing and feel good vines have been sent to sweet Shadow!:)
 
Congrats on the yard sale success. DH keeps saying we need to have one (we have a LOT of stuff), but neither of us really wants to deal with setting it up, getting up really early and sitting out there all day. We're just lazy, I guess.

I'm sorry Shadow isn't feeling up to par. Sending lots of healing vines for her.
