Good Morning, Everyone,

After his incredible spurt of energy last night at bedtime, Rusty is rather subdued this morning. He wasn't much interested in breakfast (although he had eaten his nighttime food) or in his lung treat. But he wanted to schmooze, so we schmoozed and fell asleep for an hour! Now he's in his little bed by the radiator. It was another cold night (25 degrees this morning) and promises to be cold for the next few days. We have our first paddle of the season on Monday, so I hope it will be at least a little warmer by then.

Fingers crossed that the Board will be functioning today. Yesterday was total frustration, again. I didn't have much patience and just gave up.

Off now to go to the post office. We hope all is well in LL and that all kitties and beans will enjoy good health today.

Ella & Rusty

P.S. OT: One of our closest friends was in a car accident last night. She was taken to the hospital, and when last I heard, her daughter was on her way to the hospital (in Plattsburgh, 50 miles from here). Her daughter didn't know anything more than that her mother was hospitalized. We are waiting for an update. Vines and prayers for Jean would be much appreciated.

Just stopping by to see what's cooking with you and Rusty. Wow with the 25 degrees. We are still in summer mode here, but yay, we may get some real live sprinkles tonight and tomorrow. Rusty is almost green today. Hugs and scritches from us,
Sending vines and prayers for your friend, Jean. I hope she will be alright.

Re: 4/25 Rusty AMPS 111, +5.5 41

Hi again,
I think Rusty is angling for another reducie. He ate the Canidae part of his breakfast, while pointedly ignoring the FF T&G (his favorite!) and the Wellness Chicken. Now, at +5.5 he is at 41! (the second number under 50 on this dose). I put only the Canidae in his dish for lunch and he has eaten most of it (as well as his freeze-dried chicken treat). So we'll see where he goes. At the moment he is in his basket. We just had a good combing and brushing. He went outside with me for about ten minutes before lunch. It is still cool, but the sun is shining. The birds were not happy to see Rusty, but they don't realize that he is a rodent man.

No word yet on our friend Jean. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and vines.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 4/25 Rusty AMPS 111, +5.5 41, +8.5 82, PMPS 208

Hi again,
Rusty zoomed up at PMPS again, just like yesterday. Perhaps it is because of the Canidae Pure Elements (which, I think, is about 9% carbs). In any event, tonight he had his usual foods for dinner: FF T&G and Wellness Turkey. He ate about half, which is normal because he grazes and likes to finish his dinner on the couch later, when we are all together, watching TV. Today was a low-key day in any event.

Our friend Jean, whose car went off the road and crashed, was taken to the hospital in Plattsburgh NY and then air-lifted to the major hospital in Burlington VT. Earlier today she was on a ventilator and had lost a lot of blood, but was alert and talking. We don't know any of the details about the accident. One of our group found the police accident report online. I know that your thoughts, prayers, and vines will make a big difference, so please keep them coming.

Wishing everyone a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Quite the day for Rusty. I hope he gets over that bounce quickly and eases down overnight.

WOOT on the first scheduled paddle. :-D I hope the weather holds out for you.

Sending vines for your friend Jean. Good to hear she's alert and talking. My DA Jean fell a couple days ago so I'm hoping for all Jeans to get better.

Rusty had a busy day today, in spite of being subdued. One more dip below 50 and there's reducie earned! Keep up the good work, Lagoonmeister!

Sending prayers and healing vines for your friend. Please do keep us posted. Have a good night, Ella.
