Yesterday

Good Morning, Everyone,

Another cold morning here (27 degrees), but no new snow and it looks like the sun may make an appearance. Rusty had a good night, ate all his nighttime food, and is at present asleep in his little bed by the radiator. He's still in "winter mode". It looks like he may have surfed a bit in the lagoon last night.

Today we are going to Lake Placid to see the Met in HD at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. It's the last HD live broadcast of the season: a double bill of "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Pagliacci". We'll take our lunch to eat in the intermission between the two operas. Rusty will get his lunch early. We'll be back in the late afternoon.

Hi again,
We really enjoyed the opera. Got home and Rusty was asleep in his perch and had "saved" his fuds. He ate quite a bit between +10 and +11, so that may account for the jump up at PMPS (or maybe it's a bounce from the greens). In any event, the case of Dave's 95% chicken and chicken liver paté arrived this morning and Rusty enjoyed some of it for his early lunch and it's waiting in his dish for when he wakes up and wants to watch TV and eat.

We are at the moment listening to the famous Duke Ellington Band 1940 broadcast from Fargo ND on WKCR, which is in desperate need for money to upgrade their equipment. This is the best jazz station in the world (and also has classical programming, in addition to world musics, historic R&B, etc.). We've been chipping in to this station since the late 1970s. Rusty likes the music, too.

bbl, going to watch a movie on TV when the "Traditions in Swing" program concludes at 9 P.M.

Cinco said Rusty was on duty when he was in the lagoon today. It's so comforting to know he's there, watching over the kitties. Cinco was on his best behavior, although he said there was a lot of splashing going on. It sounds like you had a lovely Caturday. I hope Rusty has a quiet night.
