All's good in Pollywood. I think! Although I will admit that +5.5=29 gave my heart a bit of a pump. Retests calmed me down a bit (59,55), but the girl's ear will get a bit of a work out for the rest of the morning!

Again, the two girls shared the bed with me last night. A comforting new normal. Rowsie has really mellowed recently. Oh, she can still give "the look" and send Polly growling under the table of chairs, but it's no longer such a "normal" event. Guess even tortie terrors can get a little soft with age!

Will wandered off on our desert walk last night. Not unusual. But he's never far and always returns within just a few minutes. Not last night. He was a couple hundred yards away, just beyond the field fencing in someone's back yard playing with two dogs. He'd gotten through an open gate into the yard, but couldn't figure out how to get back out. (He's at the shallow end of the lab gene pool.)

His walking buddy-dog came loping out when my friend and I headed back toward the car, but poor Will couldn't figure out that he'd have to back track to the open gate to get out. He just chased along the far fence line trying to reach us. A bit of panic in his eyes. A bit of panic in mine, too.

My friend drove up to the house, about 300 yards from where the car was parked. And really had to entice the boy to come back to the gate and get in her car. He didn't want to lose sight of me.

Hey, at least the anxiety settled him into a deep sleep when we got home! Me, too!

Darn dog.

Vines and wishes.....and Polly, surf, girl. Surf.

Surf Polly surf.:D At least it's a weekend day.

Loved your comment on Will and the low end of lab gene pool - not exactly a high standard.;) But he probably makes up for it in loving.

Bet that 29 nearly gave you a heart attack! Congrats on the reduction or do you think ur was an error. Looks like it but maybe tonight.

Well, if you weren't completely awake when you got that 29, I'll bet it opened your eyes better than a cup of espresso! Thank goodness it was an error (it was, wasn't it, Polly?). Still, nice little swim for a Saturday. Keep it safe, though, Miss Polly. Flat Polly, Green Polly has a nice ring to it.....

Will, silly dog! Don't be scaring your mamabean (and yourself) like that! Fences are to keep you in, and should not be crossed. Glad it all worked out in the end, Marilyn. Droolers!

Nice safe surf Polly for you stressed out bean. Dogs aren't too smart are they, sometimes the lights are on but there's no one home, sounds just like our Bolly but love him to death.

Look at that beautiful surf!! Way to go Polly!!!

Poor Will....trapped behind a fence and can't find his way to the open gate...LOL

We might be a bunch of crazy cat ladies, but we love our droolers too!!

Go Polly! I'm sure that 29 was a shock. I hope she surfs safely the rest of the day. Poor Will. I'm glad things worked out.

Polly stay in the shallow end of the lagoon. o.k. Your Mamma has had enough stress.
Maybe Michael might see you at the lagoon later.:cat: Polly you are so pretty in your green dress;)

Great numbers this morning, except for that 29 that surely gave you a heart attack! ;)

Jeepers creepers that 29 just woke me up from my morning haze too! Poor Will  We have an expression, 'it scared 10 years growth out of me' (not sure if that's universal?) so with two of those frights in one day you must be feeling so young ;)

Very sweet that there's a semi-truce between the kitties

A good night with the fur babies in the bed. Scary with a 29 makes the heart flutter a little.
Glad will didn't wander off to far. Try and take it easy tonight. LOL

Yikes, that 29 is enough to startle all of us! Glad she was safer upon retest. Nice day in the lagoon for her today, she must have been doing her laps! A girl has to get her bikini body for summer somehow! Hope the surf lasts through the night and you can get some sleep.

He's at the shallow end of the lab gene pool
:woot::woot::woot:

too funny. I'm glad he was successfully rescued and shown the gate. It's hard when you're not the sharpest crayon in the box! ;)

Looks like Polly might give you a pass this evening to sleep well. I hope she bounces so you get a break. That must've been a little heart-stopping. Good thing you rechecked.

Fingers crossed for an uneventful evening.

Yikes on that 29! a nice string of greens there:D Looks like Miss Polly might be telling you something there..less jooce? Hope she lets you get a good night sleep tonight..

Houston.....lift off. Bouncing has commenced.

Good girl Polly--do your drama and gymnastics during the day!!

My beloved GA Lab Chester did the same as your Will- but he had the sense to skedaddle out of that other dog's yard when he heard me yelling! Such a guilty look on his face too, I could never stay mad at him ever!:rolleyes: Thanks for the story, it made me smile!
