Good Morning LL!!
(Hmmmm..... I bet Mannie would have served that apple blackberry thing he used to make.... YUM!) Happy Fursday to everyone.
I wanted this morning to share Nicholas with you today. We went to the pool yesterday., for 2.5 hours, and even then he didn't want to go home. it is amazing to me that a two year old can go non-stop in the pool like that. He discovered noodles yesterday - ya know those 6 foot long tube things. That was interesting, I didn't show him how to use them, he just picked one up and did it. kinda cool: he used it to swim, float etc. one end of the big pool to the other. sheshhh he loved that.
Here's the Picassa link to the photos and videos from the pool: Swimming and a few photos of the end result after all that swimming.... Nicholas, at rest.... Today we are off to a river I think. Our weather is gorgeous - sunny and maybe 70! So we just have to be out in the great outdoors....
Nicholas seems to be handling Mannie's passing well. He talked about him alot yesterday. We discussed Mannie and the nanners, how much Mannie loved them, how Nicholas used to bring him nanners all the time. We were out on the deck at the time, and Nicholas wanted to know if Mannie was outside, in the sun. He spent about a minute calling for him, and then asked if he was gone. I told him he was, but was quite happy to send us all those sunbeams. That brought a smile from him: Mannie was happy. He was then onto to something else. Later he was telling me how his kitty takes pills (she's a hyper-t) and then commented on how Mannie got "ALL those pills!". That made me smile too: Mannie did take lot of pills.
It is good to think that Nicholas has good memories of Mannie. I hope they remain with him.
this is from yesterday's LLips condo:
I have had a few signs for Mannie. I know he's visited, is watching over us. We've had sun, been beautiful weather since he passed, but once in while I see these few sunbeams that just light up the area they are in. I know it's him sending those that glow. It is wonderful to know he's happy. The other day I was working on the computer, and just happened to glance at the shelf next to the monitor that holds the printer There on that shelf was one of Mannie's whiskers. It is a shelf he never ever visited, heck he never came into this room... But yet it was there, wasn't there the day before. Thank you Mannie. Life is good at the Bridge. Mannie said so.
