Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) (Hmmmm..... I bet Mannie would have served that apple blackberry thing he used to make.... YUM!) Happy Fursday to everyone.

I wanted this morning to share Nicholas with you today. We went to the pool yesterday., for 2.5 hours, and even then he didn't want to go home. it is amazing to me that a two year old can go non-stop in the pool like that. He discovered noodles yesterday - ya know those 6 foot long tube things. That was interesting, I didn't show him how to use them, he just picked one up and did it. kinda cool: he used it to swim, float etc. one end of the big pool to the other. sheshhh he loved that. :-D :-D :-D Here's the Picassa link to the photos and videos from the pool: Swimming and a few photos of the end result after all that swimming.... Nicholas, at rest.... Today we are off to a river I think. Our weather is gorgeous - sunny and maybe 70! So we just have to be out in the great outdoors....

Nicholas seems to be handling Mannie's passing well. He talked about him alot yesterday. We discussed Mannie and the nanners, how much Mannie loved them, how Nicholas used to bring him nanners all the time. We were out on the deck at the time, and Nicholas wanted to know if Mannie was outside, in the sun. He spent about a minute calling for him, and then asked if he was gone. I told him he was, but was quite happy to send us all those sunbeams. That brought a smile from him: Mannie was happy. He was then onto to something else. Later he was telling me how his kitty takes pills (she's a hyper-t) and then commented on how Mannie got "ALL those pills!". That made me smile too: Mannie did take lot of pills. :-D It is good to think that Nicholas has good memories of Mannie. I hope they remain with him.

this is from yesterday's LLips condo:
I have had a few signs for Mannie. I know he's visited, is watching over us. We've had sun, been beautiful weather since he passed, but once in while I see these few sunbeams that just light up the area they are in. I know it's him sending those that glow. It is wonderful to know he's happy. The other day I was working on the computer, and just happened to glance at the shelf next to the monitor that holds the printer There on that shelf was one of Mannie's whiskers. It is a shelf he never ever visited, heck he never came into this room... But yet it was there, wasn't there the day before. Thank you Mannie. Life is good at the Bridge. Mannie said so.

*Happy, teary eyed*, Auntie Barb here. How lucky your are, Michelle, that Mannie left you a whisker to find. :-D

Loved to see Nicholas 'in person' swimming. He's so darn cute :-D

And yes, reading your condo is like reading the morning paper. It's gotta be the first one.. like looking at the morning crossword puzzle, even if you don't stop to work on it :-D

I love the whisker. I'm glad Nicholas is sharing his sweetness with you about Mannie. Young children see so clearly sometimes don't they?

May I tell you how my granddaughter helped me last year with BigMac's death? I don't want to intrude on your condo.

Yep, teary-eyed here, too. Wonderful signs from Mannie.

I am always so amazed at the pictures you post of Nicholas in the water. What a natural. At the pool DH and I belong to, kids his age usually cling to their MamaBeans for dear life and scream bloody murder if their heads get near the water, but not Nichoals! Absolutely amazing...water is somehow in this kid's future, whether he's a swimmer or a marine biologist, or what. So cool!!!

Have a great day, Michelle!

Oh what a feel good report today.

Nicholas is a wise little boy. He will always be connected to Mannie and have such fond memories of him. What a special thing for Nicholas, especially with the new baby coming. It is so great to hear that Mannie is giving you signs. The whisker is a definite present from him to you, as are those special sunbeams. Mannie is definitely happy and healthy again and having a great time with BJ and the others. It's been a week and he is already living it up.

Too cute on the noodle. That boy is such a fish. Have a great day with Nicholas. Sounds like perfect weather. (Hugs)

Morning All! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) onto the peppermint white mochas now. YUM!

Barb - HI, and thx! So glad you liked the photos! He LOVES to swim. ah thanks on the rest... you are too kind.

Liz - Many thanks. and I know... miss him everyday.

Cd - Many thanks, and yes, please. I'd love to hear the story. Nothing here is viewed as an intrusion, all is welcome. I so agree on children: that they do. Nicholas is so on target, I love how he views things, keeps me grounded.

Amy - THX! oh yes on Nicholas - he truly loves to be in that pool, would stay all day, go everyday if he could. I so gree on his future... water oriented for sure!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE! I'm off to pick up nicholas, another rand adventure awaits! YaHOO!

Hi Melissa - missed your post - sorry....Thx, I so hope it is a feel good report. :-D I so know on all Mannie. And with Nicholas: he sees it all so clearly. He's now one happy dude: back whit his sisters, his long lost friends, having a blast, and that makes me very ahppy. The whisker find said it all. I know on that Noodle! HAHAHAHAHA, such fun!

Awww....what precious pics of Nicholas and his Bear and the swimming. I am amazed how he likes to dunk under water. So sweet with asking about Mannie and being content with the sunbeams and Mannie is happy.
Finding the whisker in a place unknown to him was a sign. So glad you are doing this condo, Michelle, as someone yesterday said, now we have you, Nicholas, Elsa and Mannie back again just hearing of your adventures. Have a great time today.

Hi guys,
Those swimming pics of Nicholas are amazing. I loved the video with the big, BLUE, noodle. That kid will be swimming in kiddie meets before long! The other pic I really loved was the one at the end of the swim: Nicholas wrapped in his towel, gazing on the water and planning, no doubt, on what he will do on his next swim.

Too cool on Mannie sending you a whisker. What a great sign! I know that he and all his pals at the Bridge will be celebrating the Full Fish Moon with the LL kitties tonight.

Have a fine river hike with Nicholas today. Michelle, it is great to read your posts!

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Michelle.....I haven't gotten to post til today...Sorry about Mannie (((Hugs & Blessings))) I see he's having a great time over the Rainbow Bridge & is letting your family know he's watching over you o:-) I really did not know his story, but I'm glad Nicholas is accepting the loss of his best friend....Have a wonderful, beautiful day with Nicholas...enjoy the sunshine, Mannie ordered it up especially for you :-D Best Regards, Cindy & Sabrina cat_pet_icon

Morning. ~O) ~O)
Nicholas is so full of life and that alone gives great smiles and joy. Of course he doesn't want to quit.
He's such a blessing to keep you smiling and someone to focus on every day.

I just love finding kitty whiskers. So good that Mannie sends you little signs.

Hey Mannie's mommiebean - Of course Mannie is fine! We kittehs all know it, cause he told us too. He said, I is fine because I said so. And then he wanted to lounge on the cloud and send sunbeams down to us. So glad that you saw them, it will make him happy to know.

Oooooh that little bean boy is interesting. Does he have sticky fingers? Do you think he would want to take home one of the nanners? As long as he doesn't get it sticky of course.

My bean sez she is going to miss her cheery Friday's but wants you to know, no worries, she will make her own cheery Friday and she isn't accepting any deliveries from that silly drooler delivery service. She knows he is an impostor and could never match the deliveries from Mannie Kitteh Barista.

I wonder if Mannie met Sydney yet. I'll bet you he will swoon over her, everyone does. If you see Mannie anytime soon, tell him I'm taking good care of the roadster! It's gassed up, top down and I'm driving it real fast! Vroom.

Signed Maui the Magnificent, waiting to give Mannie his new chef hat and uniformerr outfit!

Hi Michelle,

It is great to see your condos. I think that the loss of our kitties is compounded by losing the sense of community we used to share when our kitties were still alive. I know that I felt that loss after Bear Man passed, and I was no longer posting his weekly Oldtimers condos. I hope that you continue to post. It is evident that your condos are very much a community gathering place. I love to hear how well Nicholas is handling the loss of his best buddy. I think that if you keep on as you have been, talking about him often with Nicholas, that he will likely remember Mannie as he grows older. I hope so.

I also love to hear how Mannie is sending you more signs. I am thinking about him surrounded by all of his friends at the Bridge. I remember when Bear Man sent me a special sign after he passed - a BG test strip! I was walking around the house one day, and out of nowhere a test strip was sitting in the middle of the floor! He was always a very practical guy!

The loss of Mannie has made me think back so much about my guys at the Bridge, especially Bear Man, lately. I think about you often, and I am glad that you have Nicholas to help you through what must be very difficult days for you.

Linda

Hi Michelle! Oh, gosh, thanks for the tears! Such a sweet story about Nicholas and Mannie....and of course I started tearing up! Sweet tears tho... You just have to love the simpleness of children, don't you.

...oops lost it..

Today is another beautiful day with sunbeams from Mannie. :-D Thank you Manster - thinking of you here too.

Such neat photos of Nicholas in the pool. I loved the longer video of him with his pool noodle. He was lying there with such joy on his face. Makes me want to go visit our local pool. It is interesting the memories that children have of pets, yesterday it was nanners, sunbeams and pills.

Hi Michelle I love your condo this morning so uplifting! I have gotten a couple of signs from Scrabble too and just recently as a matter a fact. It warms my heart to know he is free and happy! I am so glad Nicholas is doing well and he is "understanding" what happened. Sending lots of hugs your way!

thank you for sharing the signs from Mannie with us. I love hearing about the whisker. You are amazing and handling it so well and I think you are doing an incredible job with Nicholas. It is so hard to explain these things to children.

I remember you telling of Mannie letting Elsa play w/ the nanners a few times. I think he was making sure she would take good care of them when he was gone. How is she reacting to being an only kitteh?

Nicholas at the pool always brings a smile. He will be swimming on his own in no time! Enjoy your day and the beautiful weather Mannie is sending to you!

Auntie Michelle! 'Course Mannie sent the sunbeams. I have one every afternoon that comes and I can feel him next to me! -- Tess

Michelle, it's great to see Nicholas enjoying the pool so much. That's neat how he picked up on the noodles. I'm glad he seems to be understanding about Mannie.

I remember you telling of Mannie letting Elsa play w/ the nanners a few times. I think he was making sure she would take good care of them when he was gone.
I was thinking the same thing. It's amazing how much our kitties understand. I'm glad Mannie is sending you signs he's okay. I hope Elsa is doing okay too.

Hi everyone! WOW!, and thanks for all the visits since I signed off this morning. Nicholas and I have been BUSY! We went to the Skykomish River and spent the day. FUN!!!!!!! I will post the photo link tomorrow. THANKS Carla, Ann, Michelle, Wendy, Liz, CD, Deb, Linda, Hillary, Rhiannon, Cindy, Ella, and Ann. Forgive me for not answering each one of you. It's been a crazy busy day, and this bean is tired! Amazing how a two year old can wear you out.

Linda - many thanks. I so remember that test strip! What a flood of memories that brings back. Ya know I think of you often too. I'd look at Mannie and think of Bear Man. When Mannie got sick - more so. Right you are: so so glad that there is Nicholas. Through the innocence and profound simple insight of children we find healing. and thx on the erst. I plan on posting,at least when I have Nicholas to share, for sure, and/or hiking to share. I so underpants on the sense of community - couldn't agree more.

Ann - Elsa seems to be doing OK. She has moments when she is agitated, or wanders form room to room, and then it just stops. I truly think that Mannie's spirit is letting her know it's OK, he's till with her. I think so too on the nanners, when Mannie would let her play. He was making sure.... She has been spending more time with me at night, wants lap time. All and all she seems to be doing well.

Wendy - my reaction too: SUCH JOY on that kids face... warms the heart.

Ella - thank you for keeping the party traditions going!

Tess - very very cool! I am so glad that he comes to see you in those sunbeams. It is nice to feel his spirit, wasn't it! ~~ Auntie MichelleBean

Maui - you are one wild kitty! Keep on driving that roadster. Mannie would remind you: pedal to the metal! :-D :-D Tell your bean to watch out for the drooler imposter,He visited me today ~~ Auntie MichelleBEan

THANKS EVERYONE for today... I feel so bad for not answering each post - so much I want say, but I keep nodding off!    sheshhhhh! I promise to do better tomorrow. :-D :-D

HI Michelle!
And i'd be drinking that apple blackberry thing - standing in my driveway - the envy of the neighborhood! ~O) ~O) ~O) ;-) Thanks
I'm so glad to see the pictures of Nicholas. Well, i will be as soon as we get off this hotel computer - they won't let me get to the pictures! Boo. I'm sure Nicholas will remember his good times with Mannie. He is lucky to have you to talk to about his memories and questions. Mannie will always be special to that little angel Nicky.

I'm glad to hear about all your signs from Mannie. The whisker is about as obvious as he could possibly be. How sweet that he would make it so obvious to you that he was watching over you. It's wonderful to hear that he is happy.
many hugs and scritches to you from us

HI Mary ~O) ~O) ~O) LOL on the driveway! I can so see that! Mannie burning rubber to get there. THX on the whisker thing - it was so great to find that. I think so too on Nicholas and Mannie. It is nice to see he's not far from his thoughts, so we do talk about him. All good I think. Have a good one today!

Lovely photos of Nicholas! I think you have an olympian in the making.

So glad to hear that Mannie is around, sending sunshine and good weather. How cool that you found one of his whiskers! I guess it blew away on his final road trip in the roadster :-D

Hi Courtney - and many thanks! Now wouldn't that be cool: an Olympian. well, I'm just glad he has such fun with it. I thought so too on the Whisker... That really made my day. Must have, as you said, - that roadster does move darn fast! :-D
