Don't blink, don't breathe, don't say a word about anything. The 'Jinx Meister' might be listening.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222

not sayin' nuttin', but grinning from ear to ear!
you'll want to make sure you get those early spot checks (+1 and +2). you have hc on hand if you need to steer the numbers?

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222;+3=512 R.25

Well, that was a short ride! But he held a lower number for longer than he ever has before this. He had 2 lower ones last night and then his AMPS. So, I think we're getting close to that magic combo. Meanwhile, Gus is still looking and acting much better. Hopefully, this bounce will be a short one.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222;+3=512 R.25

Bev:

I'm re-posting this info from Libby that was in your condo from yesterday. It's not so much for you as it is for anyone who may be following your starting up with using R. Since the general "rule" is to not have the R and Lantus nadirs coincide, I didn't want the info and what you did to be a cause for concern.
Libby from Gus' Sunday condo said:
Your plan sounds good, if he bounces, hit it. If it's really obvious that a bounce is starting, you can give R at +3, 4, 5. +6 is a guideline because you don't want the nadirs to overlap, but if he is heading high then he isn't really going to have a nadir in that cycle so it's ok to R. Make sense? It's a "know thy cat" thing, but we know Gus goes high fast once he starts his bounce. If he's really going up fast, then it might be a good time to try that skinny 0.5 again.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222;+3=512 R.25; +1R=536

Not unhappy with a low 500 at this point because Gus usuallygoes right off the charts with a bounce, R or no R! So the fact that he's bouncing "on the charts" is another step forward for him. I wasn't comfortable giving him a skinny R.5.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222;+3=512 R.25; +1R=536

wow - a good amazing progress. How wonderful to see that amps, and yes - a bounce that wasn't off the charts, Gus - good job! :-D :-D

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222;+3=512 R.25; +1R=536

Hi guys ... great job on that amps guys ... sorry to see the bounce action but that yellow sure did look nice!! have a great day guys!

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222; +1R=536; +2R=491

Another good sign. Most people would hate a 491, me.....I'm liking it. He who blinks first, loses!

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222; +1R=536; +2R=491

Bev: late to the excitement but CONGRATULATIONS on tha awesome AMPS!!! I'm so happy for you and Gus!! Keep it up buddy!!

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222; +3R=512; +4R=589; R.5

Higher numbers earns you another dose of R. A skinny .5. Gus is still happy and purring. As if he had no cares.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222; +3R=512; +4R=589; R.5

Starting to see a trend - a downward trend! :-D Hope this bounce is a short one.

Re: 4/25 Gus AMPS 222; R.5; +3R=515 ??? on R

Bouncing in the 500s is better than dancin' on the ceiling! I am unsure as to whether or not I should do another R today or see what happens with Gus' Lantus dose.

Re: 4/25 Gus PMPS=HI; R.25

I had to open my big ugly mouth. So, I see that the Jinx is a real thing and not to be toyed with. Right now, Gus is sprawled out on a thick terry towel in front of an open window, just digging the birds. He's got the right idea.

Re: 4/25 Gus PMPS=HI; R.25

but just look how long he went between HI readings! All day long you kept him in the 500s. I think that is a HUGE deal.

Re: 4/25 Gus PMPS=HI; R.25

Gus is a real cutie in your picture.
I'm sorry about the HI,
on the bright side too, its good to hear Gus has birdies on his mind

Re: 4/25 Gus PMPS=HI; R.25

of course gus hasn't got a care in the world, he knows you've got his back! :-D

great job with all the action today. i just sit back and watch the master work her magic! you're going to have a second career as a diabetic cat expert!

Julie, I'm a lot less frightened of the R insulin than a week ago, but don't forget, Gus is still in the really high (not as high as before, though) numbers. I don't have the big worry of him dropping too low, etc. Yea, I have his back. It will be great to see him as a regulated FD. How's your Punkin today, eating yet? I'm going to pop over and peek. Sleep tight.
