Do Lou is fine we only have 3 P's to report at this time, I am up early instead of going btb since the kittens are still having some adjustment issues over the taking away of Mom one even though Mom 2 Batgirl adopted everyone she is a great mom and they are on food now they are almost 7 weeks but its still a shock to them to go thru what they did, my wounds still look pretty bad so I may end up at a dr have to see. My abyssinian breeder friend passed away in the night on her b-day she would have been 58 today     I have lit a candle in her honor in anyone wants to click on it. Be back later still have my migraine wish it would go away so draining to have one day in and day out.......

Lisa so sorry about the momma attack!! Sounds like the kitty went bonkers!--Hope you recover quickly from your wounds-Glad you saved the babies!
My sympathies on the passing of your friend..
Hope you feel better! Do Lou's number pretty good considering..Hope your day improves. Hugs from us

Lisa, hope your wounds heal and my condolences on the loss of your friend. It's so sad it was so sudden, too. I tried visiting the Candle Memory, but the link doesn't work for me, but it may just be my computer. Take care of yourself today and hugs.

Hi Roni

thanks the momma cat thing is just horrible something like that has never happened and I am so upset about it to know she turned vicious like she did its just so upsetting to me

(((Lisa))) How awful for you! How long had you had her, Lisa?
What a shocking thing for you! The wounds must be so painful too.....you poor dear. I am sending lots of hugs to you.....
It is a traumatic thing that just happened! OMG!! I can't imagine what a shock that must have been to walk in there and have her on you like that. Luckily she didn't hurt her babies though but I am sorry that you had to bear the brunt of her rage. Sending vines to you that you will heal quickly....be well Lisa.....

Hi Pat

She was born here but she has always been what I would call a bit flighty but my DH wanted to keep her and try one litter with her her brother Sunspot is our next stud guy. Anyway I did not think she would make a good Mom but DH is so behind the breeding and showing program that I try to let him have his way sometimes and then she had her kittens on March 10 and things were fine she seemed the perfect Mom I was shocked since I thought she would run away from her kittens (hence why Batgirl was bred at same time as a bk up milk source) Batgirl is 4 and experienced Mom. Anyway I could not believe the attack myself since I was just sitting playing with the kids as always and 2 kittens were tussling and one did a hiss thing normal for playing and Aurora tore into me I mean in a BIG way I was trying to get her blanket to throw over her and ever time I would bend down to try or anything she was on my head tearing at my head and face and then as I got her off she would bite my hand over and over so yeah it was quite terrible until DH who was running around like a chicken with his head cut off got me a carrier jeez..... I can sorta laugh now my kids were like why did you not just leave the room but she was trying to attack the little ones and as hard as she was going at me I did not want her to kill a baby its sad......

I guess from now on your DH will listen to any instinct you might have about whether one of the cats will be a good mother! I hope your wounds heal soon but you might want to have a doctor look at them just in case since it sounds like you were pretty beaten and bitten up.

Sorry about your migraines. I also have had a headache for 2 weeks straight! I might pick your brain sometime if I don't get any answers from the specialist I'm seeing today since you have been dealing with this issue for so long. I hope you get relief soon and I hope your day is better.

Well I know I am weather sensitive and of course it just keeps on storming and raining ...... plus I have had a lot of stress last 2 weeks but I do wonder if part of my 2 week stretch is more from all the storm systems but you are welcome to talk headaches i have sure been on a ton of diff meds hope you find some relief

Lisa - omg, and what a past few days for you. I am truly sorry about the mama cat, and specially about what happened to you. I do hope that you are alright. Healing vines for you today.

Looks like Do Lou is doing OK.

I hope your day is a good one today. SO sorry about the migraines....

Oh Lisa, I can only imagine the horror you were feeling, to have your own cat, turn on you like that.
I was bitten only once, when Checks was spooked outside, and my hand swelled up and was red hot, and very painful.
I can't imagine what pain you're feeling from that attack.
I'm so sorry for you and the babies. I hope they don't remember such things.
I feel for you with the migraines too. I've seen my sis suffer with migraines, it's awful.
I pray your wounds, both physical and the heartache you've endured, with the cats and your friend, heal soon.

Hi Michelle yeah its been bad last 2 days I do think the swelling in my hand is a bit better wish I could see all the wounds under my hair better I almost shaved my head the other night    but then I am like thats drastic maybe I was in shock DH thought she had got my eye but I have deep scratches right next to it with bruising so I am thankful she missed my eye we go to the vet later with her.....

Lisa....did you say you saw your own doctor about this? I was thinking about cat scratch fever and well, I am so scared for you. I mean, there might be something you should do now just to be safe. You had bites and scratches....I would see a doctor if I were you. It can be quite serious. A course of ABs might be in order...I don't know ~~ maybe others have thoughts about this and can put my mind at ease and tell me it'll be okay...but the thought of it is making me very very upset.
You might feel okay now with some swelling and soreness, but you had quite a few injuries....I would go just for safety's sake. Why wait 2 weeks and find that something is brewing...? Or call your doctor at least...no?
I wonder if she heard the kitten hiss as a sign that you were hurting the baby....weird, I know, but still....it happened so fast. And she might be on edge with the new kitties...and overly protective. Maybe she misunderstood....I bet that's what happened...still, it is not a good situation and I am glad that your other Mama is taking good care of the litter.

I hope you ar feeling at least a little better today. I know the whole thing is complicated w/ no rabies shots, but you have to take care of yourself first. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Pat I have abs here and I started taking them right away just like I would do if I was still working as a tech and yes I know its important to see a dr and which I would if it gets worse but I think they are improving its the whole rabies thing you see even though I do not live in the city its still required by my state and I do not do rabies for my cats I see no point they are inside and even my own vets do not give rabies to their own pets most of them only cats of mine that get rabies are ones I show in case they bite a judge and even thats not required for showing... sooo that being said try not to worry I assure you I do not want to feel worse then I do on a regular basis I am keeping close watch on this I have seen many bites in my 16 yrs of being a tech just not on myself really never ever been bit this bad ever sigh.......

as to her being protective yes but she took it a bit too far most moms are more protective first 2 weeks and not at age 6 weeks and up and I am not sure what set her off to the point of wanting to kill
